Alexander was born in June 1976 into a Russian-Ukrainian family. The boy's father worked all his life at one of the Donetsk mines, and Alexander decided to continue the dynasty - after graduating from high school, the young man entered the technical school of his hometown of Donetsk. Alexander Zakharchenko graduated from the technical school of industrial automation with honors, after which he began his career as a mining electrician at a mine.
Without stopping to work, Zakharchenko enters a university - the Donetsk Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, for a course in jurisprudence. But Alexander never received a higher education. In 2004, he started entrepreneurial and social activities, and there was simply no time left for study.
It was his social activities and civil position that brought him to the post of head of the DPR at such a difficult time for the country and the world. Zakharchenko's intransigence did not suit everyone, several attempts were made against him, the latter leading to his death on August 31, 2018.

The working career at the mine did not last long. The need to earn a living forced Alexander to go into business, or rather, trade. There is no exact data on what exactly Alexander Vladimirovich supplied and sold to Ukraine.
In 2010, the political career of Alexander Zakharchenko began, or rather, his public activities in the Donetsk region. He became the head of the "Oplot" organization, which provided support to disabled soldiers and former militiamen in difficult life situations, monitored the state of the Great Patriotic War monuments. In this post, he was caught by changes on the political front of Ukraine.
In 2014, Zakharchenko took an active part in the confrontation in the Donbass. He was appointed to the post of head of the republic by the parliamentary council after the resignation of Prime Minister Alexander Borodai.
Despite the fact that his appointment was not accepted by the majority of heads of European countries, Zakharchenko gave 4 years to serve his native republic. Several attempts on his life did not scare him, he continued to adhere to his position regarding the sovereignty of the DPR.
Personal life of Alexander Zakharchenko
Alexander Vladimirovich was married twice. The first marriage was with a native of the city of Donetsk. Three sons were born in the marriage. Zakharchenko never discussed the reasons for the divorce from his first wife with the press. Alexander Vladimirovich actively helped his sons.
For the second time, Zakharchenko married Gladkova Natalya, who was 20 years younger than her husband. In 2015, the couple had a son, and in 2018 Natalia became a widow. There is no information about where she is now and what she is doing.
