Study and work

Natasha received her secondary general education in a regular school number 31. During her school years, subjects were taught in the Ukrainian language. Since childhood, Natalia was very calm and balanced, she could be considered quiet, but in the event of conflict situations, the girl showed strength of character and fiercely defended her innocence. She did not strive to be a leader in the class and the school company, she was self-sufficient.

Parents sent little Natalia to study music in a specialized school, where she acquired the skills to play the accordion. After the girl graduated from the ninth grade of a comprehensive school, the family decided to continue the sisters' studies at the technical school.

Until the fierce hostilities began in Donetsk, the matured girl was engaged in individual entrepreneurship. She kept a food tent near the bus stop. The stall worked around the clock. Natalia formalized her business officially, registering all the necessary documents giving the right to trade in food.

Years of confrontation

When the hostilities took place, Natalya Zakharchenko, of her own free will, helped the wounded soldiers to recover. She expertly performed dressings, although she did not have a specialized medical education. The entire front line knew Natasha as a merciful and kind helper. The DPR fighters treated the presence of the young woman on the front line with great respect and gave her the affectionate and trusting name “mother”.
