Currently, veterans have the opportunity to improve their living conditions by receiving an apartment from the state or a cash subsidy for its purchase. To do this, you just need to be able to use your legal right.
It is necessary
- - a document confirming the need to improve living conditions;
- - documents confirming the status of a veteran;
- - application for improvement of living conditions;
- - other documents (depending on the region).
Instructions
Step 1
To get on the waiting list, get a document stating that you are in need of housing improvement. To do this, write the appropriate application in the prescribed form to the local administration department.
Step 2
Also, prepare documents to prove your benefits. If you are disabled, attach to them a certificate with the conclusion of a medical and social examination. The following documents may be needed: an extract from the house book, a certificate of family composition, an extract from the cadastral passport, a plan of an apartment or house.
Step 3
Please note that the procedure for providing apartments for veterans varies. It is possible to allocate a subsidy for the purchase of housing (its size consists of the average cost of 1 square meter in a given region, multiplied by 36). 36 square meters is the norm of the provided area. With this subsidy, a veteran will be able to purchase housing anywhere in the Russian Federation. He can buy a house, or equal in value to this figure, or make an additional payment and buy a house of a larger area. If the purchase of an apartment is carried out at a cost less than the amount of the certificate, the remaining money will not be handed over to the veteran.
Step 4
The option of buying an apartment at the expense of the municipality is also possible. In this case, its subsequent provision will be carried out under a social employment contract. If the veteran has not yet exercised the right to privatize, the received apartment can be registered as property.
Step 5
Please note that the housing subsidy cannot be spent on anything else. You can get an apartment or a subsidy for its purchase only once. In the event of a deliberate deterioration in living conditions (prescribing various relatives on the living space, etc.), this law does not apply to the veteran.
