Creation
The aspiring composer created his first musical works during a trip to the American states in the 80s of the last century. Presgurvik became interested in the styles that sounded on the American stage - soul, jazz, country, electro-pop. During these years, he collaborated with Patrick Bruel, who, in addition to acting, sang beautifully. They released their joint album in 1985. The disc was called "De face". Its popularity was such that the circulation of records reached a million copies. The young musicians were inspired by the success and the release of the second joint disc soon followed, where Patrick Bruel performed the compositions of Gerard Presgurvik.
The composer became famous in his homeland in France. The best French singers, such as Liane Foley, Elsa, Florent Pagny, began to order him songs. The great Mireille Mathieu enjoys performing songs written by Presgurvik.
In the nineties, the composer began to actively collaborate with the world of cinema and wrote wonderful tracks for feature films by Claude Lelouch and Agnier Varda.

Once in a conversation, the wife suggested that the author try himself as the creator of a musical. Gerard was absorbed by this thought, he spent two long years trying to bring it to life. In 2001, the composer offered his first musical to the audience, which became a cult one and gained worldwide fame. It was the musical performance "Romeo and Juliet". Gerard Presgurvik wrote not only beautiful music, but also a libretto for his creation.
Success inspired the French composer, and in 2003 the September premiere of another opus took place. The new work is based on the main theme of the American bestseller "Gone with the Wind", which was written by the writer Margaret Mitchell.
