During these years, he collaborated with Patrick Bruel, who, in addition to acting, sang beautifully. They released their joint album in 1985. The disc was called "De face". Its popularity was such that the circulation of records reached a million copies. The young musicians were inspired by the success and the release of the second joint disc soon followed, where Patrick Bruel performed the compositions of Gerard Presgurvik.

The composer became famous in his homeland in France. The best French singers, such as Liane Foley, Elsa, Florent Pagny, began to order him songs. The great Mireille Mathieu enjoys performing songs written by Presgurvik.
