Biography
Cheval Sam was born in the Turkish capital Istanbul in 1973. Her family at that time lived in the poor district of Etiler, which was on the outskirts of the capital. Although this does not mean that they were poor. When Father Cheval left the family, she was only six years old, and her older sister was eight, but her mother raised them, and both girls received a good education.
Mom Cheval sang beautifully, and this talent was inherited by her. As a professional musician, my mother gave her daughter the necessary knowledge and guided her early in her career.
The sisters Sam graduated from school in their area, and then parted ways: the older sister chose an ordinary profession, and Cheval wanted to connect her life with art. She dreamed of restoring beautiful old buildings and restoring antiques to life, so she entered the construction lyceum, where they taught the specialty of a restorer. Here she learned a lot and realized that she wanted to go further - she wanted to master the basics of graphics, and right after the lyceum she entered the Marmara University, the Faculty of Fine Arts.
I liked it very much at the university - she was in her element, this was her world. And, probably, soon Istanbul could get another talented artist or restorer, but fate wanted to turn it differently.
Once Cheval went with a friend to television, and immediately she was stopped in the corridor by the director of one of the programs, thinking that he was seeing an actress. The girl was embarrassed, but accepted his invitation to come to the show. And when it turned out that she sings beautifully, they began to invite her to various musical programs, and in all she performed brilliantly.
The next stage of her television career was participation in advertising, where the girl's ability to work in front of the camera came in handy. And then they began to receive invitations to participate in television series.
Career as an actress
His debut in the movie took place in the TV series "Super Dad" (1993-1997). It was a very popular TV show in Turkey, and the young beautiful actress was immediately noticed and recognized. Moreover, she had a good role there.
Literally a year later, she was invited to the project "Love wanders the mountains" (1999) - a mini-series where Chevval was also able to please the audience with her acting skills.
And in 2002 she managed to get the main role in the TV series "Gulbeyaz", where she played the girl Gulbeyaz. This comedy series showed that he himself knows how to play frivolous roles, and can be very different - it depends on what the director requires of her. This is very important for an actress if she doesn't have much experience yet and doesn't have any prestigious awards.
Having gained the necessary experience in various television projects, Sam decided to do something herself in the cinema, and in 2004 she became the producer of the film "Visit". Didem Erayda was involved in the role of the director, he also wrote the script for the drama. The film stars the famous Turkish actress Aila Algan, as well as actors Tayanch Ayyadyn, Kenan Bal and Chevval herself. The slogan of the film was the phrase "Sometimes dreams are not more real than reality?"
I liked being a producer myself, and she thought that she would take up this business more seriously and professionally, but at the same time she was engaged in a vocal career, so for a while she postponed these plans and completely devoted herself to singing, sometimes interrupting to shoot in series.
She recorded her first album "Sugar" in 2006, then released the disc "Secrets of Istanbul". Her most famous disc is "Arabesque", and the most unusual is "Tango", which was recorded without electronic instruments.
Personal life
In the area where Cheval lived as a child, everyone was very fond of sports. Many boys dreamed of becoming football or basketball players in order to go into professional sports and become famous. The whole life of the girl was saturated with this heroic romance, and it is not surprising that the most romantic performances were associated with athletes.
And it had to happen that it was she who was sent to the football club "Besiktas" to interview for the school wall newspaper. Cheval was very worried when she went there, because it was her favorite club and she was his loyal cheerleader. She herself could not explain the reason for her affection, but then she said that it was fate.
She arranged an interview with footballer Metin Tekin, and soon they met in a cafe. During the conversation, it turned out that they have common interests and passions, that they love the same music.
After the meeting, Cheval realized that she was hopelessly in love. And when Metin called to invite her to the cafe again, she went without hesitation. It turned out that the girl also sunk into the football player's heart, and he wanted her to become his wife.
However, Cheval was only fourteen years old, but the future husband agreed to wait three years for his bride to grow up. It was the happiest time in her life: she loved and was loved by a man whom she deeply respected.
Three years later, their wedding took place, and in 1997, Cheval gave birth to her husband a son, who was named Tank Amir.
Unfortunately, the romantic raid disappeared very soon, the girl's romantic ideas about athletes also disappeared. The marriage between Cheval and Metin lasted only six years, and then they divorced.
She raised her son alone, her mother and sister helped her. It was difficult not so much materially as morally. Maybe that's why there are so many sad motives in Cheval's songs?
