Biography
The future star of cinema and theater was born in Minsk, on the last day of March 1937, in the family of an engineer in the field of construction and a worker of a cartographic factory. When the boy was only two years old, he lost his father. But his misadventures did not end there. The family fell under the occupation of the Nazis, Eugene stayed with his grandmother and aunt, and his mother defended the country in the ranks of the SA.
For 3 years little Zhenya lived without a mother, her aunt Musya replaced her. She, as she could, protected the boy, was engaged in his education, instilled a love of art. In 1944, Eugene's mother was found. She took him to the Altai Territory, away from the front. Already there, in the small village of Blagoveshchenka, the boy went to school.
Love for art, instilled by my aunt, was not lost in the outback. Zhenya collected photographs of famous actors, took part in amateur performances, which did not prevent him from graduating from school with a gold medal. Having received a certificate of secondary education, the young man went to the capital, where he easily entered the Moscow Aviation Institute, and then the Studio School at the Moscow Art Theater, on the course of Stanitsyn Viktor Yakovlevich. Yevgeny Lazarev's fellow students were his namesake Alexander Lazarev, Lavrova Tatiana, Innocent Vyacheslav, Albert Filozov, Romashin Anatoly and other actors, who later became famous and in demand.
Theatrical works
Evgeny Lazarev did not immediately get to the Moscow Art Theater School. Relatives let him go to the capital on the condition that he enter the Moscow Aviation Institute. There the young man studied for a year, realized that this was not his direction at all, and made an attempt to enter a specialized theater university, which was successful.
Immediately after completing his acting course, Lazarev joined the troupe of the Riga Russian Drama Theater, where he served for two years. In 1961 he returned to Moscow, was admitted to the Mayakovsky Theater, where he worked for 20 long years.
On the stage, Evgeny Lazarev played almost 20 roles. Tickets for performances with his participation were sold out long before the premiere. He worked with such directors as Chomsky, Martynov, Okhlopkov, Yatkovsky and others.

The whole life of Evgeny Lazarev was associated with one woman - actress Anna Obrucheva. He met her while still a student, the couple formalized the relationship officially without lavish celebrations, their son Nikolai was born in marriage (1970). According to some sources, the Lazarev couple also have a daughter, Elena, but this information has not been officially confirmed, there is no photo of Lazarev and his wife with their daughter on the network and in the media.
When Evgeny Nikolaevich decided to move to the United States, his wife followed him. Despite the fact that her career in a foreign country did not develop as successfully and actively as that of her husband, she remained with him.

Soviet, Russian, American actor, director, teacher of acting Yevgeny Nikolaevich Lazarev died in Moscow, in mid-November 2016, in one of the wards of the Vishnevsky hospital. For many years he had heart problems, and this time the doctors were unable to save him. The actor was buried at the Nikolo-Arkhangelsk cemetery, in the family crypt.
