The popular American TV presenter Kate Elizabeth Piper experienced a real tragedy in her life - the betrayal of a loved one who disfigured her face. She suffered a lot, but was able to overcome what at first seemed impossible, and became a happy wife and mother. Later, when this nightmare was over, Kate wrote the book "Beauty", the main idea of which was the assertion that real beauty is inside a person, and that if a person has real life values, he will overcome everything.
Biography
Kate was born in the English city of Andover in 1983. From an early age, she understood that her appearance and figure allowed her to dream of a modeling career. Moreover, she loved to be in the spotlight, she liked the attention of boys, she was versed in fashion and knew how to do makeup.
She communicated with many people, she liked to learn the details of their lives. This is probably why Piper became a journalist, she liked this job. Her profession expanded her circle of acquaintances even more, and one day she met Daniel Lynch, a martial arts master, at first glance, a very attentive and gentle man. Subsequently, it was he who injured the young girl.
Romantic relationship
Young people began to meet, and at the very beginning of the relationship, everything was just fine: huge bouquets of flowers, soft toys, gifts. But one day Katie saw how aggressively Lynch behaved when someone did not please him in the store - he literally exploded and wanted to hit an innocent person. This was unacceptable for a martial artist. Then Kate crept into the first suspicion of Daniel's insanity, but with sincere apologies he managed to convince the girl that this case was not typical for him.
Kate convinced herself that he would not behave like that with her, and continued her relationship with Lynch. She did not know then that he had already been convicted for splashing boiling water in the person's face.
A little later, Piper and Lynch had a falling out, and he just started beating his girlfriend. Once he dragged her into a hotel room, raped her, beat her and slashed her hands with a razor. At the same time, he threatened that if she even said a word to someone, he would "cut her throat with the same razor." After all this, Kate was forced to undergo treatment in the hospital, but did not tell anyone about the beating, because by that time she was very afraid of Lynch.
He wrote apologetic letters to her and wanted to continue the relationship, and once he simply sent a man who splashed sulfuric acid in the girl's face. She received severe burns to her face and chest, her respiratory tract was damaged, and at first the pain was so severe that Kate wanted to die so as not to feel it.
She underwent more than forty operations, experienced terrible moments of suffering from pain, psychologically it was very difficult, because the doctors literally made her whole face anew.
But she did it, and now she helps people with similar problems in her charity.
Personal life
Strong girl Kate Piper was not left alone - she married actor Richard James Sutton, who was amazed at her courage and desire to help people. They now have two children
