Floristic fashion shows, collections of unusual plants and gardens from eminent landscape designers can be seen at the beginning of July 2012 in the capital's Gorky Park at the International Flower Festival.
From 3 to 8 July 2012, the First Moscow International Flower Festival will take place in the Gorky Park of Culture and Leisure near the Golitsyn Pond. Several dozen participants from Russia and European countries will present works of modern landscape and floristic art. According to the organizers, the event will be creative and bright - a real summer holiday!
About two hectares of the park area will become a multi-purpose territory of the festival, which will house unique collections of plants, original author's gardens and masterpieces of topiary art ("forming" bushes and trees). There will also be flower shows and shows by world-class professionals.
The festival will bring together professionals of the landscape industry, gardening, nursery and floristry, leading representatives of specialized organizations and associations, foreign experts, members of charitable foundations and enthusiasts - connoisseurs of flora from Russia, Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy and the USA.
Within the framework of the event, thematic contests will be held. Particular attention will be paid to charity events. Every day for visitors to the Gorky Park will be held master classes in landscape design, decoration of indoor plants and drawing up bouquets from the best specialists.
