Therefore, back in Soviet times, the special status of "Home Front Worker" was determined, which gives recognition of merits in winning the victory and a number of special benefits. Nevertheless, the registration of this status can cause certain difficulties. How to issue this status if it has not been done before?

Instructions
Step 1
Decide if you are eligible for the Home Front Worker title. According to the federal law "On Veterans", such a person is recognized as a person who, during the Great Patriotic War (from June 22, 1941 to May 9, 1945), worked for six or more months on the territory of the Soviet Union (except for territories occupied by foreign troops). In this case, it does not matter whether the person was an adult. If you fit into this category, you can get this status.
Step 2
Prepare documents confirming your status. This can be a work book with marks about work during the war or awards for work during this period. Make copies of all documents in order to keep the originals with you.
Step 3
If you do not have the above documents, contact your city or regional archive for extracts of work experience. Come to the archive personally with your passport at office hours and order a certificate stating that you worked during the war. To do this, indicate in the application in which organization and at what time you performed your labor activity. If you now live in a different city where you worked during the war, consult the archive on how you can make a request to another city.
Step 4
With all the collected documents and passport, come to the pension fund at your place of residence and apply for registration of the status of a home front worker. It will take some time, which depends on each specific case. After receiving the status, you will receive a home front worker certificate and will be able to use all the benefits you are entitled to.
