Alexander Nevsky (Kuritsyn) is a Russian actor and bodybuilder with a solid biography and a rich personal life. In addition, he was noted for his participation in the political and social system of Russia, as well as for his successes in the literary and directing field.
Biography
Alexander Nevsky (aka Kuritsyn) was born in 1971. He was raised by his mother, which left an imprint on young Sasha: at school he was shy and romantic, for which he remained unloved by his peers. In addition, with a huge growth (198 cm), the guy remained incredibly thin for a long time, and attending physical education lessons was a real torture for him.
By the time he graduated from school, Kuritsyn tried boxing, but bodybuilding attracted him much more, and the Hollywood actor and bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger, proudly watching from a battered poster, became an idol. Alexander stubbornly started training and managed to build massive muscle mass. He decided to take for himself the harmonious and noble pseudonym Nevsky.
The guy was noticed on television, where he became a frequent guest on various shows. He was even nicknamed "Russian Schwarzenegger". Subsequently, Alexander published the book "How to Become a Schwarzenegger in Russia", dedicated to his training and the formation of his personality. His dream was an acting career, but he had no luck with roles in Russian films. In the late 90s, Nevsky left for the United States, where he met Schwarzenegger, Van Damme and other Hollywood stars, and also closely studied English and acting. But he again failed to take part in the filming, and the aspiring actor returned to his homeland.
Filmography
The first full-fledged experience of filming turned out to be a lump for Alexander Nevsky. The action movie "Red Serpent" took place with the participation of not only Russian, but also American stars, but the script turned out to be useless, and the picture failed at the box office. The same thing happened with the tapes "Moscow Heat", "Da Vinci's Fast and the Furious" and "Murder in Vegas".
Alexander did not give up. He was personally involved in producing and organizing the filming of films with his participation. So in 2014, the action-packed film Black Rose was released, and a year later - the action movie Showdown in Manila. The last released film with Nevsky at the moment is "Maximum Impact". Alas, the pictures again did not win praise from critics and viewers.
Personal life
Not very good fame overtook Alexander Kuritsyn after he announced to everyone that he had won the prestigious Mr. Universe bodybuilding competition. It turned out that Nevsky made a mistake: he only became a laureate of one of the European competitions among amateurs with a similar name. A flurry of criticism fell upon him after a series of failed films. Especially famous are the humorous reviews published on the Bad Comedian channel by blogger Yevgeny Bazhenov.
Kuritsyn was officially married only once. The first wife's name was Catherine. The couple divorced amid a brief depression that haunted Alexander after his unsuccessful conquest of Hollywood. Later, he began to meet with the dancer and actress Oksana Sidorenko. They broke up in 2012, after which the model Maria Gurieva became Nevsky's passion, but the bodybuilder did not stay with her for long. Currently, he is in a relationship with another love - an aspiring actress Maria Bravikova.
Alexander Nevsky is known for his active political and social life. He holds the post of Advisor to the Governor of the Tula Region on Sports Issues, owns his own Hollywood Storm film studio in the United States and even sits on an international jury to determine the winners of the prestigious Golden Globe Film Awards.
