Alexander Yuryevich Khochinsky - a native of Leningrad, whose date of birth is February 29, 1944 - was born in a creative family. His father was a singer, soloist of a jazz orchestra, his mother was a leading actress at the Leningrad Theater for Young Spectators. From both parents, he equally took on talent, sang beautifully and played no less talented on stage.

Left at four years old without a father, who decided to commit suicide due to illness, the boy received a purely female upbringing from his mother and grandmother, which determined his charisma and intelligence.

Contrary to the wishes of his relatives, after graduating from school, Sasha decides to continue the acting dynasty and at the age of 20 he becomes an actor in the theater where his mother worked, having received a profession in a theater studio.

His determination and desire to achieve his plans manifested itself later, when the actor went to serve in the army, considering this step necessary for every man.

Theater and cinema

After serving in the army, the young artist continues to play in his native Youth Theater, combining work with studies at the Leningrad Institute of Theater of Music and Cinematography.

On stage, the actor has embodied more than 60 images. He was equally good at all roles from serious tragic to light and graceful comedic ones. The production of "The Cat That Walked by itself" revealed the director's talent in the artist.

Millions of viewers recognized the previously unknown artist in the image of a cheerful, cunning and brave gypsy guy Levka in the film "Bumbarash", cheerfully singing songs with V. Zolotukhin. Alexander Khochinsky was married three times.
