Andrei Anatolyevich Shcherbakov is a Belarusian footballer who will remain in the memory of football fans for a long time. A goalkeeper who could still do a lot for world football and his fans.
Childhood
Andrey Shcherbakov was born on January 31, 1991. He lived and grew up in the city of Vitebsk, Byelorussian SSR. As Andrei himself recalled, from an early age he was a very independent child. He began to get involved in sports, and in particular football, very early. His grandmother first brought him to the junior sports school when he was ten years old. Unfortunately, then the coaches did not notice any special football abilities in the boy. But thanks to his enormous hard work, patience and fanatical love for football, he proved to everyone that he would make a real football player.
Football player career
For a long time Andrei studied at the Dvina sports school in the city of Vitebsk. His first coach was Yu. V. Komissarov. At the age of 17, Shcherbakov signed his first serious contract - it was the football club “Vitebsk” (2008). Two years later, he signed a $ 90,000 contract with the Belarusian professional football club from the city of Borisov (BATE). Andrey was a member of the youth football team of Belarus and was the main goalkeeper.
Preparing for the 2012 Olympics in London, the national team of Belarus included Andrei Shcherbakov in its composition, but, unfortunately, Andrei never entered the field. In 2013 he returns to his native Vitebsk. In the same year he moved to the football club "Slutsk". In Slutsk, he acts as the main goalkeeper, thanks to his contribution, the club wins in the first league. At the beginning of 2014, Andrei Shcherbakov was loaned out to the Bobruisk football club "Belshina", where he plays in tandem with Anton Kovalevsky.
In 2015, the footballer was sent to Dynamo Brest. In this team, Shcherbakov did not stay long, as he could not withstand the competition with the second goalkeeper - Valery Fomichev. Having worked in the team for only three months, he returned to Belshina, where he remained the second goalkeeper of this team.
Andrey Shcherbakov is the champion of Belarus, winner of the 2011 Super Cup of the country.
Personal life
Andrei met his wife Anna at a football match, where the girl loved to go, since she was a former athlete herself. In 2012, the young couple got married. In marriage, they had two wonderful sons. It was a close-knit family. Andrei was a wonderful husband and a loving father, about which his wife Anna constantly spoke.
Terrible tragedy
The tragedy took place on December 17, 2018. Andrey Shcherbakov with his family was returning from vacation. The goalkeeper's car crashed into a tow truck at full speed. In this terrible accident, Andrei and his wife and their eldest son died. The three-year-old youngest child survived. Andrey Anatolyevich Shcherbakov was only 27 years old, his wife - 25. The child was six years old.
