The search for one's purpose in this life leads a person to become a member of a certain organization. This can be a political party, a charitable foundation, or a religious community. Alexander Barkashov founded the Russian National Unity (RNU) movement.
Childhood and youth
The inclination to organizational activity is given to a person by nature. An informal leader is able to captivate a certain group of people and lead them to their intended goal. This goal, for the time being, is visible only to him. For many years Alexander Petrovich Barkashov has come up with ideas and projects for the modernization of public relations in Russia. This problem has matured and worsened by the end of the 80s of the last century. Organizations began to appear on the political field that formed fresh ideas and carried them to the masses.
The future founder of RNU was born on October 6, 1953 in an ordinary Soviet family. Parents lived in Moscow. My father worked as an electrician for Mosenergo. The mother was engaged in housekeeping. The child grew up in a simple and strict environment. They did not shout at him, did not weave nonsense, but taught him to live independently. Alexander studied well at school. He did not show special abilities for certain disciplines. Having received a certificate of maturity in 1971, he decided to limit himself to secondary education. Six months later, Barkashov was drafted into the ranks of the armed forces.
Political activity
Returning from the army, Alexander got a job at a thermal power plant. In his spare time, he began to study in the karate section. At the same time, he showed interest in political and social topics. In the early 80s he became a member of the famous National Patriotic Front "Memory". The main point in the program of the front was the idea of restoring the monarchical system in the country. By that time, many citizens had already become disillusioned with the attractiveness of the Soviet regime, and were looking for a new moral and ethical support for themselves in life.
Barkashov, an energetic and purposeful person, decided to create a more effective organization to achieve its goals. In October 1990, he and a group of associates founded the Russian National Unity movement. This movement had an active core. RNU branches have appeared in many regions of the country. In October 1993, when the "White House" on the embankment of the Moscow River was shot from tanks, Barkashov's people were among the defenders. Alexander Petrovich himself was arrested, and spent almost a year in prison.
Essays on personal life
Barkashov's political career was not successful. Under the onslaught of ideological opponents, he was forced to retreat. It is not easy to retreat, but to take monastic vows. RNU operates today, but experts do not observe the former rise.
The personal life of a politician deserves a special story. Barkashov is married for the second time. A husband and wife are raising two sons and a daughter. From his first marriage, he also has three children, two sons and a daughter, who are already living their own lives.
