Fedor Smolov is considered one of the most talented Russian footballers of our time, acting as a striker. Fedor Mikhailovich Smolov was born on February 9, 1990 in Saratov. The child grew up very mobile, showed interest in sports life. The boy especially fell in love with football. Since childhood, I played ball in the yard with my friends. When Fedor was seven years old, his father helped Fedor to enter the sports section of the local football club "Sokol". In this football school, the future striker received his first sports education. It was in Saratov that Smolov began to develop his playing talent and thinking, learned the skills of working with the ball, and learned his first tactical schemes.
Smolov's junior career
The guy's work during the training process, combined with natural talent, contributed to the fact that at the age of 14, the scout services of the Moscow Lokomotiv drew attention to Fyodor Smolov. The junior moved to Moscow, but there were problems with housing in the capital. There was no place for Smolov at the Lokomotiv sports boarding school. In addition, Fedor's parents insisted that the boy not consider the option of a future professional football career, but systematically prepared for admission to Moscow State University to obtain a profession. Smolov was forced to leave the Lokomotiv school, but begged his parents to allow him to pass the last screening in the Master-Saturn team near Moscow (Yegoryevsk). In this club, Fedor managed to gain a foothold. He soon signed his first professional contract.
The beginning of Fyodor Smolov's career in adult football
In 2006, Fedor Smolov signed an agreement with Dynamo Moscow. The striker made his debut in the Russian Premier League at the age of seventeen (in 2007). Smolov played his first game in the elite Russian division against Luch-Energia. In his first season at Dynamo, Smolov did not have frequent match practice; he entered the field only in three matches. Fedor scored his first goal for Dynamo in 2008. That season, this ball was the only one in seven games.
In total, Fyodor Smolov was listed at Dynamo until the 2014-2015 season. True, in the summer of 2010 he went on loan to Holland, where he gained experience of playing for Feyenord. In "Anji" for two seasons in the RPL Championship he played 26 matches, in which he scored one goal. In 2014, the next stage of Smolov's lease followed. Yekaterinburg Ural became his new club. In this team, the attacker's stats have improved significantly. In twenty-two meetings, Fedor was able to score eight times. The season spent for Ural became the starting point in the development of a striker's career, because it was from the Yekaterinburg team that Smolov moved to Krasnodar, where he was able to reveal his talent.
The heyday of the career of Fedor Smolov
In 2015, Fedor Smolov moved to one of the most attacking clubs in Russia - Krasnodar. In this team, already in the first season, the forward talent was revealed. He became the RPL's top scorer with twenty goals in twenty-nine games. Smolov also scored in the Europa League in the 2015-2016 season (three goals).
The next season in Krasnodar was again successful for the striker. In 22 league games, he scored 18 goals. In addition, he contributed to the success of Krasnodar in the European Cup arena, having scored 6 goals in eight UEFA Europa League matches.
Fedor spent his third season at FC Krasnodar at his high level. Although his performance fell, Smolov continued to be one of the best strikers in Russia. The forward during his performance for the southerners twice won the bombing race in the domestic championship, was recognized as the best footballer of Russia in 2016 according to the version of the Russian Football Union and the Russian Football Premier League.
The season 2018-2019 Smolov started in the camp of the “bulls”, but played only two matches in the team, after which his transfer to Moscow “Lokomotiv” followed.
