Alexey Borychev, being a physicist by his education, has been successfully building a scientific career for many years. But he is well known in literary circles as well. For a decade and a half, Borychev's poetic works have been published in Russia, near and far abroad. The poet is one of the most published Russian authors of poems.
From the biography of a physicist
Alexey Borychev was born in the capital of the USSR on May 25, 1973. From childhood, his family knew that Alexei would choose the difficult path of a scientist for himself. Having received a higher professional education, the young scientist worked for about two years at the General Physics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
In 2007, Borychev became a candidate of technical sciences and continued to build a career. Alexey Leontievich's specialization has become mathematical modeling, software systems and numerical methods. His dissertation dealt with the modeling of laser radiation transformations by mathematical methods. It investigated the chromatic and wave aberrations of optical elements and their influence on the geometric characteristics of the radiation beam.
Borychev published the results of his scientific research in reputable scientific publications. In total, the scientist has about twenty scientific publications, some of them published in English in a British scientific journal. Alexey Leontievich is a regular author of the scientific journal "Measuring Equipment".

Borychev is famous not only as a physicist. For many years Borychev has been able to combine successful pursuits in science with literary experiments. Alexey began publishing poems in 2004. In total, to date, he has nine poetry collections and two hundred separate publications. An impressive result for a person whose main occupation is not poetry, but natural sciences.
Alexey's poems have been published more than once in paper periodicals of the CIS countries, the USA, Canada, Germany, Israel, Finland, Australia.
From 2009 to 2011, Borychev headed the poetry department of the New Literature magazine. His works are regularly published in the magazine "Youth". Borychev is a member of the expert council of the Severo-Muiskiye Ogni magazine, on the pages of which you can often see poems by novice authors telling about the relationship between man and nature.

Awards and achievements
Alexey Borychev has repeatedly become a laureate of prestigious literary competitions. In particular, in 2013 he received the V. Arseniev prize, three years later - the Zinziver magazine prize. Borychev reached the final of the international competition of the magazine "Windows". He was one step away from success in the program competition called "Evening Poems", which was held by "Evening Moscow". Alexey was awarded the medal “A. S. Griboyedov”, as well as a medal in honor of the 55th anniversary of the Moscow City Writers' Organization.
