Childhood and youth
It can be said with good reason that every Russian boy dreams of becoming a sailor and visiting distant countries. Apparently, this is the way it is on this earth. For the time being, Ilya Reznik did not stand out from his peers. The future songwriter was born on April 4, 1938 in an intelligent family. Parents at that time lived in the famous city of Leningrad. My father was engaged in union work. The mother kept the household and raised the children. When the war began, the family did not have time to leave for evacuation and spent the winter in the besieged city.
Ilya was taken out of besieged Leningrad on the ice of Lake Ladoga. He spent two years in the Urals. The father died of his wounds. The mother left with her new husband. The boy was taken in by his grandparents. Returning to his hometown on the Neva, he went to school. In high school, he began attending classes in a theater studio and decided that he would become an actor. After school I decided to enter the local institute of theater, music and cinema. But he was not accepted. Then the young man got a job as an electrician in the theater. Grandfather's pension was not enough for life, and Reznik took up any job to bring a pretty penny into the house.
In the creative field
Having shown perseverance and faith in his destiny, Reznik from the fourth call entered the institute at the acting department. In his student years, he comprehended not only the art of reincarnation, but also wrote his own works. Plays for skits, poems on the occasion of various celebrations, children's fairy tales and fables. In 1965, Ilya received a diploma and entered the service at the Komissarzhevskaya Leningrad Theater. And over time, he devoted more and more energy and time to poetry. In 1969 Lyudmila Senchina performed the song "Cinderella" based on his poems in one of the All-Union television programs.
For many years Reznik worked with the famous singer Alla Pugacheva. The prima donna splendidly performed hits based on his poems - "Old Clock", "Without me, my beloved for you", "Ballet", "Maestro" and many others. The poet created songs for Edita Pieha, Sofia Rotaru, Laima Vaikule, Irina Ponarovskaya. With a lot of workload, Ilya Rakhmielevich managed to write books for children, scripts for films and his reflections on the fast flowing life. In 1999 he was admitted to the Moscow Union of Writers.
Recognition and privacy
For his great services in the field of arts, Ilya Reznik was awarded the honorary title "People's Artist of the Russian Federation". The poet was awarded the Orders of Friendship, Honor and Merit to the Fatherland.
The poet's personal life has developed dynamically. Today he is happily in his third marriage. His companion, Irina Romanova, is a former master of sports in athletics. She closely monitors the physical form of her husband and helps him in all matters. Ilya Reznik continues to work on new works.
