Biography

Alexander Grigorievich Rapoport was born in 1947 in Bulgaria, in the city of Kazanlak. His dad was an officer, so the family moved from place to place many times. Finally, Rapoports settled in Leningrad.

Even from a boy's age, Sasha saw himself as an actor and was very eager for this profession. Unfortunately, his parents were against such a frivolous occupation and insisted that he become a doctor.

He obeyed, but instead of studying anatomy, he played in an ensemble and took part in performances. Another hobby is basketball. So day after day passed, he barely passed the exams, until the university began to teach psychiatry. This science interested the young man so much that he passed all the "tails" and completely immersed himself in the study of interesting information.

After graduating from high school, the young specialist ended up in the Moscow clinic of Kashchenko - his career began successfully. However, a situation arose here when they wanted to force him to recognize completely healthy people who were "mowed down by the army" as sick. He was convicted on a political article, and the consequences could be the most dire.

Rapoport decided to leave the country and started hitchhiking towards Barcelona. There was no money; on the way, she and her youngest son earned what they had to. By 1990, he reached the United States, and then life began in a foreign country.

Alexander was able to adapt and decided to deepen his knowledge of psychiatry - he entered the University of Adelphi. He is currently conducting relationship training and consulting.

Television and cinema

The profession of a psychotherapist helped Rapoport to become a media personality in the United States: he hosted the program "Mirror", where he educated viewers on family issues. On the radio, he hosted the program "An hour before midnight", and on Russian television he participated in various shows.

Another facet of his creativity is singing, he has several albums.

A little later, Alexander tried himself in the role of a theater actor - it was the play "Last Summer in Chulimsk" at the Steps Theater. He was invited to Russian theaters, such as Sovremennik.
