Pierre Edel is a French singer and musician. Participant in the show "Voice" in four countries: France, Russia, Ukraine and Belgium. In 2004 he began touring with concerts in Europe.
Pierre often performs in Russia. It can be heard in metropolitan clubs and music festivals. In 2014 he recorded the album "Press your fuck delete key!" together with Sergei Mavrin. Their joint project was named ShowTime.
Biography facts
The future singer was born in the winter of 1987 in France into a Russian-French family. His mother was from Russia, and his father was from France.
Parents divorced when Pierre was only a few years old. Mom went home, and Pierre stayed with his father in France. He often visited his mother and learned to speak fluent Russian. He is also fluent in French and English.
After receiving his primary education in France, he left for London, where he continued his studies at the famous music school Vocaltech, Drumtech and Guitar-X. It is one of the most renowned educational institutions for professional musicians and vocalists in Western Europe. Training takes place in classes: drums, guitar, bass guitar and vocals.
Another passion of Pierre is drawing. Since childhood, he loves painting and was even going to go to study at an art school. But the love for music turned out to be stronger, so drawing for Pierre remained only a favorite hobby.
Creative career
While studying in London, Pierre began performing in recitals in order to gain not only the experience of being on stage, but also to ensure his financial independence.
Edel wrote his own music and songs, and in the evenings he performed in small clubs and cafes. He also gave French lessons and taught vocals.
Within a few years, Pierre became a fairly famous performer and began touring European cities.
A few years later, Pierre decided to move to Russia and settled in the capital. According to the singer, it is much more difficult to achieve popularity and realize creative plans in France or another European country than in Russia.
In 2013, Pierre went to the vocal competition The Voice France, an analogue of the Russian show "The Voice". He successfully passed the casting and blind auditions and got into the team of the famous singer Mika. In working on the project numbers, he was assisted not only by Mika's team, but also by singer Kylie Minogue, who participates in the show as a mentor to another team. In the French draft, Edel reached the semifinals.
A year later, Pierre, on the advice of friends and relatives, decided to take part in the Russian show "The Voice" in the third season of the project. Pierre ended up in Pelagia's team. Many performers and critics highly appreciated Pierre's vocal talent and called him one of the brightest performers of this season.
Pierre took part in two more similar competitions. In 2016 in the Ukrainian version of The Voice, and in 2018 in the Belgian show The Voice Belgique.
Personal life
Several years ago, Pierre met a girl named Maria. She came to France to study from Russia. Soon, young people realized that they should be together.
They got married in Paris. A little later, the couple had a daughter whom they named Radha.
Pierre and his wife were followers of the Society for Krishna Consciousness, but left the organization in 2017. The reasons why this happened, Pierre told his fans in a video message on the YouTube channel. In the same video, Edel said that he and Maria are no longer husband and wife.
