Tipping is subject to very different attitudes around the world. And while it is up to everyone to tip or not, there are certain levels of reward that are accepted in Europe, Asia and America.

Step 1
The United States is a country where tipping is not just an indicator of the customer's attitude to the quality of the place and service, but the main income of waiters, bartenders, baristas and taxi drivers. Very often, a tip of 10-15% is included in the bill right away. In expensive restaurants, it is customary to leave about 20-25% of the total amount. In addition to catering outlets, it is customary to pay tips to American taxi drivers, maids and porters in hotels. You can tip in cash (relevant for taxi services and hotels) or ask to withdraw it from a bank card (in restaurants, cafes and even fast food eateries). On the other hand, if the service did not seem good, you can not tip, explaining what exactly you did not like.
Step 2
Tipping is optional in Southeast Asian countries. In Thailand, it is considered good form to leave 10% of the order in a restaurant or cafe, but if a small order was made, the waiter will not be upset about the lack of money for tea. Tipping is always welcome in Cambodia, Burma, India, but if the quality of service or food in a restaurant was not very good, you can safely ignore the demands of waiters or taxi drivers. In Japan, tips can only be given in "western" places (large hotels for foreigners, some restaurants in Tokyo). Basically, the Japanese do not like tips and believe that wages should be fixed.
Step 3
In European countries, tips are either included in the bill (service charge), or remain at the discretion of the client. As a rule, in southern Europe (Italy, France), you can leave "tea" from 10 to 15% of the order value. In northern Europe and the Scandinavian countries, the tip varies from 3 to 10%, depending on how much the client liked it in a particular place. Sweden remains the most undemanding country in terms of tips, here it is easy to limit yourself to 3% of the order amount.
Step 4
At all-inclusive beach resorts, it is not necessary to leave money "for tea", as it is considered that everything has already been paid for. Nevertheless, if you leave the maid 1-2 dollars on the bedside table, the room will not only be cleaned, but beautiful figures will be made from towels on the bed and fresh flowers will be brought. In Turkey, it is customary to leave about a 10% tip outside the hotel. In Egypt, there is a special concept - "baksheesh", which may be required by taxi drivers and Arab guides. Leaving them a tip is optional, moreover, if the quality of the services did not like it, it is undesirable.
