In 1944 she became a member of the front brigade. The actress acted on the front line, raised the spirit of the military.

After the war, the troupe returned to Leningrad. Galina Korotkevich replaced the deceased Sushkevich. In 1951, the head was again replaced by Nikolai Akimov. Vera Andreevna played in "The Last" and "At the Bottom", "Youth of the Fathers".
