It is not easy to create a profitable company in Russia. Some experts attribute the difficulties to the harsh climate. Evgeny Mukhin managed to overcome objective obstacles and became one of the successful entrepreneurs of the Yaroslavl region.
Starting conditions
In the early 90s, when the economy of the Russian Federation was transitioning to market mechanisms of functioning, many citizens did not have specific knowledge. There were also very few reliable sources of information on how to start a business. Evgeny Davydovich Mukhin at that time held the position of chief engineer at the Yaroslavl Institute "Gipropribor". The institute was engaged in the design of instrument-making enterprises, production lines and processing machines. A significant part of the factories operating in the Soviet Union were designed by specialists from this institute.
New conditions required new knowledge. At the same time, the accumulated baggage of experience and skills had its own value. The future entrepreneur was born on December 13, 1951 in an ordinary Soviet family. Parents lived in the famous city of Yaroslavl. My father worked in the regional statistics department. Mother taught mathematics at one of the local universities. Eugene grew up as a calm and intelligent child. The boy learned to read early. Easily memorized poems and the content of books read. At school, Mukhin studied well, although he was not among the excellent students. With a great desire he studied in the circle of technical creativity.
Contrary to the objections of his parents, Eugene, after the eighth grade, entered the local auto-mechanical technical school. Here he showed his ability to exact sciences and technical creativity. The student underwent practical training in the shops of the Yaroslavl Motor Plant. He mastered the specialty of a milling machine. Then he got the qualification of a fitter-assembler of the 2nd category. After graduating from college, in 1972, Mukhin was assigned to the Yaroslavl machine-building plant "Proletarian freedom". The production career of the young specialist was developing successfully. Three months later, he was transferred to the position of a process engineer.
Two years later, Mukhin was transferred as a shift foreman to the fuel equipment plant. In his new position, Evgeny Davydovich acutely felt the lack of special knowledge. To fill the gap that arose, he decided to get a higher technical education at the All-Union Correspondence Polytechnic Institute. In 1982 he was awarded the diploma of mechanical engineer. A few months after this pleasant event, Mukhin was invited to the position of head of department in the Yaroslavl branch of the design institute "Gipropribor". By the early 90s, he held the position of Chief Project Engineer.
Entrepreneurial activity
Economic transformations in the country began with the liquidation of old local enterprises and the creation of new ones. Evgeny Mukhin clearly grasped the direction of the "main blow" and did not wait for mercy from those around him. Already at the end of 1991, he established a small enterprise "Inkomproekt" and headed it. For several years, Mukhin had to deal with a variety of areas of activity. The company accepted orders for the development of design documentation for large and small companies. Participated in the wholesale supply of food and consumer goods. In 1995, the small business was transformed into a limited liability company.
The strenuous, sometimes health-hazardous activities paid off. In 1996, Mukhin was appointed General Director of the Yaroslavl Gipropribor Joint Stock Company. Three years later, he united the structures subordinate to him into a single holding. To ensure a decent salary for staff and not to become dependent on criminals, Mukhin made decisions strictly within the framework of the current legislation. When submitting applications for participation in tenders for the privatization of urban infrastructure, he always took into account the interests of the people who live in the district.
At the same time, the businessman was calculating the best options for obtaining a high rate of return. A shopping center on the outskirts of the city will not generate the same income as a general store located in a central area. Over time, the entrepreneur ended up with the shopping centers "Cosmos", "Olymp", "Central". The cafes and restaurants that Mukhin owned began to make a worthy contribution to the regional budget. Among them are the popular among residents and guests of Yaroslavl "Melnik", "Yakor", "Sputnik".
Politics and personal life
At the beginning of the 2000s, Evgeny Mukhin became the owner of the regional newspaper Yaroslavskaya Nedelya. The print edition on a permanent basis formed a favorable image of the businessman for the residents of the region. In 2004, Mukhin was elected a deputy of the Yaroslavl Regional Duma on the lists of the LDPR party. Evgeny Davydovich was actively involved in issues of economic policy and local budgets. Four years later, the deputy joined the ranks of the United Russia party. As a deputy, he dealt with issues of industry and entrepreneurship.
In 2013, Mukhin left the regional Duma and focused on his entrepreneurial projects. Evgeny Davydovich does not advertise the details of his personal life, but he does not hide it either. He is legally married. The husband and wife raised and raised three children. At the moment, they are trying to meet and communicate with their grandchildren as often as possible.
