Artem Chebotarev is a domestic boxer of the second middle weight category. Four times he became the champion of Russia in the amateur category. In a short time, from a beginner, the athlete became the European champion and the bronze medalist of the world championship.

Start of classes
The future champion was born in 1988, on October 26 in the village of Stepnoye, Saratov Region. In elementary school, a tough boy became interested in boxing. However, he began to study professionally only at the age of eleven.
His uncle, Edilbay (Grigory) Kaziev, who was by that time the Honored Coach of the country, undertook to train the promising newcomer. From the first lessons Artem demonstrated that for him boxing is not a desire to show off and show his peers pumped up muscles and strength.

First victories
In Saratov in 2003, the boxer won the First All-Russian Student Sports Day. This was followed by a win at the European Championship among cadets and a silver medal in the youth championship of the continent.
A seventeen-year-old boy in 2005 participated in the junior competition "Battle of Stalingrad" held in Volgograd. In the tournament, Artem lost to Andrey Zamkovy.
The novice boxer did not even think that after a little over ten years the winner would become a member of the Russian national team, headed by Chebotarev, who was defeated by him.
2007 was the time for the first tangible victory. Artem became the leader in the Winter Sporting Hopes Championship, and a little later won the silver medal at the European Junior Championship held in Serbia.
From that moment on, the rapid development of Chebotarev's sports career began. In 2008, he made his senior national debut. The bronze medal won was a great start for a little-known provincial boy.
The application became a serious reason for taking their place in the big box. At the same time, Artem became one of the winners of the international tournament held in Germany. Following him, he won Dynamiada and the tournament in Almaty.
Sports victories and defeats
In 2009 Chebotarev won the national championship. One achievement followed another. In Hungary and Italy, the athlete showed excellent results.
He became the leader of the "Tournament of the strongest boxers of Russia", the silver medalist of the World Cup of oil countries. In Rostov-on-Don, he received a solid gold medal and one hundred thousand bonus for the victory.
The European title was accompanied by a two-year grant from the Ministry of Sports and Tourism. The prize began in 2011.
However, even after becoming the leader of the national team, Chebotarev failed to become the first at the Milan World Championship. In the fall, the athlete suffered the most offensive defeat.
Artyom's rival was the Cuban Ray Recio. The Russian has already beaten him several times at the junior level. But this time the Russian was unlucky from the very beginning.
The judges in the first round counted five unanswered hits to his opponent. However, according to domestic coaches, Chebotarev punched the defense of the Cuban several times.
During the battle, Recio increased his advantage even further. The fight ended with a crushing defeat of the Russian "six - twenty six".
In 2010, in the domestic Artyom was recognized as the best again. At the competition held in Moscow, the boxer was able to defeat all rivals and get the "gold". The resounding victory brought the athlete the title of master of sports of international class.
Awards
At the 2011 national championship, Artem lost to Dmitry Bivol in the semifinals. At the international tournament Bocskai Memorial, the athlete received "silver".
After defeating all competitors during the qualifying competitions, Chebotarev was sent to Baku for the world championship. The athlete failed to show higher results.
He was also knocked out in the second battle. Briton Anthony Ogogo became the winner. In 2012, for the third time in all his training, Artem became the champion of Russia. A year later, he was bronze in Almaty at the world championship. Chebotarev lost to Jason Quigley from Ireland.
A new golden page was inscribed in the boxer's biography in September 2015. He defeated Dmitry Mitrofanov from Ukraine during AIBA Pro Boxing.
The fight was for the world title in the category up to seventy-five kilograms. The championship was held in Saratov, the hometown of Artem. Five thousand fellow countrymen came to support him. Chebotarev fully justified the hopes of the people.
The title of Honored Master of Sports of Russia was awarded to Artem on October 6, 2014 for his outstanding achievements in sports.
