The guitarist of the cult band Rammstein and his path
Paul Landers (Heiko Paul Hirsche) is a famous guitarist of the German band Rammstein.
Biography
Born December 9, 1964 in East Berlin. There are rumors that the musician was born in Brest, but Landers himself denied them.
From the very childhood he had poor health, which contributed to the development of rumors about his prematurity.
His parents studied Slavic languages, therefore, often traveled with little Paul and his older sister in Europe. Children in the Hirsche family studied music, and if Paul's sister was given the piano, then he was not. The teacher often scolded the future musician, so he began to learn to play the clarinet.
In addition to musical talent, Paul was given construction. He often made something and even somehow made a lamp that would light up whenever the door to his room was opened. Landers also attended the Young Sailors circle and inherited the ability to learn languages from his parents: Paul speaks Russian well, thanks to his studies at the school at the embassy, and even lived in Moscow for a year.
As a teenager, Landers, tired of the constant family dramas with his stepfather, left his parental home in search of himself.
Studied as a telecommunications specialist.
Career
He got his first experience of playing in a band in 1983, when, together with Christian "Flake" Lorenz (future keyboardist of Rammstein) and Alesha Rompe, he created the group "Feeling B", to which Christoph "Doom" Schneider (future drummer of Rammstein) also joined. It is noteworthy that "Feeling B" was the first German punk band to release an album at that difficult time. Despite the fact that the album "Hea Hoa Hoa Hea Hea Hoa" was popular and liked by critics, the group never managed to become a cult.
In other words, the participants themselves did not take the work too seriously at that time.
In 1994, "Feeling B" broke up, and its three members, including Paul, joined Till Lindemann, Richard Kruspe and Oliver Riedel. This is how the legendary group "Rammstein" was born.
For the first time, the guys got the opportunity to professionally record at the studio after the victories of Lindemann, Kruspe, Schneider and Riedel at the Berlin Senate Metro Beat Contest.
A little later, the band's first album, "Herzeleid", was released on the "Motor Records" label. Longplay marked the beginning of the worldwide popularity of the group.
Personal life
Paul married early - at the age of 20 to his friend Nikki Landers, taking her last name. But the family quickly fell apart due to disagreements and they divorced after three years of marriage. From this marriage, Paul has a son, Emil Reinke, born on June 20, 1990.
Landers has a daughter, born to Rammstein makeup artist Ariella Tross in 2001.
Paul lives with children in Berlin.
