Childhood

Eduard Nikolaevich Artemiev gained fame throughout the country thanks to cooperation with famous directors. He wrote musical compositions following the script, and the melodies gave the video a special flavor. The future composer was born on November 30, 1937 to the family of a chemical scientist. Parents, native Muscovites, at that time lived in the city of Novosibirsk. His father fulfilled an important task of the government while on a long-term business trip, and his mother created conditions for him to work fruitfully.

Literally in the first months after birth, the child became seriously ill. Novosibirsk doctors were unable to provide the necessary assistance. Then the head of the family made the only correct decision and took his son to Moscow. Metropolitan doctors saved the child. And Edward remembered the episodes of the train trip. Experts explained this fact by the effect of the disease on the body of a two-month-old child. Eduard spent almost all his childhood and adolescence in different cities. Father was transferred from one closed area to another.

Creative way

Edik studied well at school. But there were not enough stars from the sky. He had to change several schools before he received his matriculation certificate. The composer himself recalls that he began composing music at the age of five. He simply "purred" to himself a melody that was emerging in his head. When Artemyev turned sixteen, he was sent to his uncle, who worked as a professor at the Moscow Conservatory. Edward easily entered the choir school. Within the walls of this educational institution, he began to seriously study musical composition.

After college, Artemyev entered the Moscow Conservatory. Here he was carried away by playing on a musical instrument that was new for that time - an electronic synthesizer. In 1963, the movie "A Dream Come Back" was released. The musical background for the picture was created by an aspiring composer using a synthesizer. The audience welcomed both the film and the music with delight. Four years later, Eduard met the director and actor Nikita Mikhalkov. The composer took part in almost all projects of the cult director.

Recognition and privacy

By 1970, Artemiev had become a famous and respected composer. He spent almost ten years in Hollywood. In America, Artemyev liked it. He composed music for nine more paintings. Here Edward not only lingered, this place seemed to him ideal for permanent residence - the ocean, eternal summer, flowers, oranges.

There is no particular need to list all the awards and titles of the composer. Suffice it to say, Artemiev was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland. The composer's personal life has become standard. He lives in marriage with Izolda Alekseevna. They met in their student years. The husband and wife raised and raised their son, who also became a composer. Artemyev lives and works in Moscow today.
