Bukin Valentin Pavlovich is a famous Soviet and Russian theater and film actor. He starred in a huge number of films, including: "Pen and Sword", "The Adventures of Pinocchio", "Kin-dza-dza!" and many others. In 2003 he was awarded the title "Honored Artist of the Russian Federation".
Biography
The future artist was born on the first day of July 1942 in the small Siberian city of Ulan-Ude. Valentin's parents were workers, his mother was the director of the canteen, and his father was a shipbuilder. He took part in the construction of the Yaroslavl steamer at the shipyard, which was called "Joseph Stalin".
The first years of the future actor were spent in his hometown, but then the family moved to Irkutsk, where Valentin continued his schooling. It was there that he discovered his talent and craving for drawing. In this craft, he was one of the best in the school. After finishing the seventh grade, Bukin tried to get an art education and entered the appropriate school, but after the first year, interest in the craft disappeared, and Valentin left his studies. Took part in the design of the stage before the performances at the local pioneer house. Once one of the troupe's actors fell ill, and Bukin took part in the play "The Snow Queen" as an actor.
This little experience had a very strong influence on young Bukin, and he decided to connect his life with acting. After graduating from nine classes of school, Valentin entered the drama theater of the city of Ulan-Ude as an actor and for some time he coped with his roles quite successfully. After receiving his education at night school, he went to Moscow for further studies. Several times he tried to enter the studio of the Moscow Art Theater and GITIS, but without passing the competition he returned to Siberia. In Irkutsk he was enrolled in the studio of the local drama theater. After a year of training, he was drafted into the armed forces of the USSR, where he honestly served for two years. Returning, Valentin Bukin continued his studies.
Career
Bukin made his debut on the screen in 1968, he starred in several episodes of the film "War and Peace". In 1971 he performed cameo roles in the films Nariman Narimanov and The Kotsyubinsky Family. One of the major roles in the movie took place in 1973, he played a merchant in the film "Afraid of grief - not to see happiness."
The artist has a huge number of cult works, among them: "Cossacks-robbers", "Kin-dza-dza!", "Window to Paris", "Everything will be fine" and "Pen and sword". In the last years of his active work, Bukin took part mainly in the filming of serials. In the middle of the 2000s, he appeared in almost all more or less significant projects on television. In total, the talented actor has more than 120 works in films and television series. His last project was the film "The Treasure of the Twelve Gods", in which he played the role of a collector.
Personal life and death
In his spare time, the famous actor was actively involved in sports. In his last years, he lived in a veterans' house in the city of St. Petersburg. He died on August 2, 2015 at the age of 73. He was buried in the city of Minsk in the northern cemetery.
