The famous footballer was born on October 1, 1966, in the city of Monrovia, Liberia. The future glorified striker grew up in the poorest slums of Liberia, run by street gangs. Weah started playing football in local youth teams.
In 1985 he signed a professional contract with the Liberian team Mighty Barall, then there was a team called Invisible Eleven.
