The author of the Russian comedy series Interns is the producer Vyacheslav Dusmukhamedov, while the American TV series Clinic became the prototype of the sitcom. During the filming of this scenario comedy, for the first time for a series of this kind, closed sets were created, evoking a sense of completeness and the atmosphere of a real hospital.
Filming
Corridors, wards, doctors' offices and other medical conditions made it possible to elevate the series "Interns" to the rank of an original and self-sufficient project. Filming took place in the house-museum named after Chekhov, where nothing could be touched - this significantly complicated the creative process, however, the film crew and actors were able to cope with a plus.
Immediately before filming, each scene is carefully rehearsed several times - this is the secret of the natural actors in each episode.
The creators of the series work on each episode strictly according to the schedule - after the appearance of a certain idea, a team of developers writing sparkling dialogues is taken to implement it. However, the lion's share of the success of "Interns" was provided by an amazing cast of actors who got used to the role of their characters and literally lived their on-screen lives.
TV series actors
The main role in the Interns was played by Ivan Okhlobystin, who had not previously been interested in serials, but after reading the script agreed to take part in the comedy sitcom. The role of Dr. Bykov was ideal for an eccentric actor who got used to her, only occasionally complaining about the excessive hysteria of his character. The role of the head physician of the hospital Anastasia Kisegach was played by Svetlana Kamynina, who at first felt insecure next to Okhlobystin - now the actors have completely settled down and even slightly quarreled during the shooting.
Intern Lobanov was played by Alexander Ilyin, whose funny jokes the whole country fell in love with. In life, a lazy and not very smart Lobanov is a hardworking and modest person who went to the set even with a broken leg. Since Ilyin's broken leg did not fit into the script, it had to be urgently rewritten to fit Alexander's condition.
Ilya Glinnikov, who plays intern Romanenko, also broke his leg during that period, but his plaster cast was removed from the frame all the time, since two doctors with the same injury are clearly too much.
The only female intern was chosen very carefully. In all respects, only Christina Asmus came up, who played the sweet and shy Varenka. An intern from America, constantly getting screwed up, was perfectly played by One Byron, and a Jewish venereologist with Casanova's inclinations was brilliantly played by Vadim Demchog, who in real life does not drink and is an exemplary family man. The role of the brisk nurse Lyuba was played by the former KVN-woman Svetlana Permyakova, who gained immense popularity after the series was released.
