Athlete Ryan Joseph Giggs was born at St. David's Hospital at the end of November 1973, in the British city of Cardiff, the son of rugby player Danny Wilson and Lynn Giggs who works in trade.
From a very early age, Ryan took care of his younger brother and of course played football. And already in 1980, a significant event happened for little Ryan - his father was offered a very good contract in England, thanks to which the whole family moved to Manchester.
Before the great footballer linked his sporting destiny with Manchester United, he worked at the academy of their neighbors (and part-time competitors) - the Manchester City club. But the leadership of the “townspeople” did not appreciate Ryan's talent, and soon the “Welsh Wizard” moved to the camp of the “Red Devils”. By the way, Ryan took his mother's surname after his parents divorced.
Career
Ryan Giggs is one of the few modern footballers who has spent his entire professional career under one logo. He signed his first contract with Manchester United in 1990. At that time, he was barely 17 years old, and many already then predicted a brilliant career for him. For the first time for the main team of the "Red Devils", he entered the field six months later, in a home match against "Toffee" he replaced Denis Irwin. The very next year, Giggs began to play regularly for the main team, while remaining the captain of the youth squad - he continued to play there.
In 1992, the Welshman won his first winning trophy with Manchester United, the English League Cup. In total, Ryan spent 24 seasons at the famous club - more than many teams that have ever played in the Premier League.
