The name of the talented artist Nadezhda Rusheva in Tuvan sounds like Naydan, which in translation from the native language means “forever alive”. The parents who gave their daughter such a name did not expect that she would die early, but would leave a great creative legacy.
The beginning of the way
Nadya Rusheva was born in 1952. The creative family atmosphere influenced her further biography. Father is a famous theater artist. Mother is the first ballerina of Tuva. The girl was born in the Mongolian capital, but six months later the Rushevs moved to Moscow, her father got a job on television.
For the first time, the little artist showed her talent at the age of five. He woke up unexpectedly, because no one taught her drawing, as well as writing and reading. By the first grade, she painted a little, but daily, honing her skills. Love for creativity once resulted in a real record. While dad was reading aloud Pushkin's "The Tale of Tsar Saltan," a seven-year-old girl created 36 sketches for the work in one evening.
Creation
The first exhibition of works by an aspiring artist took place at the age of 12. The vernissage was organized by the youth magazine "Yunost". Soon he published on his pages Nadina illustrations for the story "Newton's Apple". Working on the novels "War and Peace", "The Master and Margarita" glorified her as a book graphic artist. But the teenage girl at heart remained a child and dreamed of a career as a cartoonist.
Among the most famous works of Rusheva are illustrations for fairy tales and myths, works of classics of Russian literature, in total - about fifty authors. Her drawings appeared immediately without sketches, she didn't even need an eraser. She said that she "sees" them, the outlines that have emerged on the paper, all that remains is to circle them with a pencil. Many critics of that temporarily treated the young talent, who did not have an art education behind him, very wary. But this did not bother her or stop her, but on the contrary, it became an incentive for further development. She was able to very accurately convey the character of the characters and the mood of the work; in the simple lines of her pencil and watercolor drawings, the characters came to life. The ease of technology and the perception of the world were far beyond the scope of children's creativity.
Nadia's works include sketches for the ballet Anna Karenina. Years later, the work saw the theatrical stage, the leading role in it went to the unsurpassed Maya Plisetskaya.
The legacy of Nadezhda Rusheva includes 12 thousand drawings. Some were donated to family and friends, while some remained in the early screenings. Most of the works are in the capital's museums of Pushkin and Tolstoy, in the artist's museum in the city of Kyzyl and in the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences. Exhibitions of talented graphic artists were held in many countries of the world.
Memory
She was not quite young. 17-year-old Nadezhda died in the hospital from a cerebral hemorrhage due to a congenital vascular disease. On the black gravestone, under which the girl is laid to rest, her "Centaur" is carved, which has become the emblem of the annual festival of filmmakers. Playwright Anna Rodionova created a play in memory of the artist called "Girl Nadia"; a number of documentaries tell about her fate.
The work of Nadya Rusheva received the highest praise in the country and abroad. A talented girl was called a genius, and her art "a breath of fresh air." Cruel fate took her out of life too early, but even decades later, the young artist is remembered and never ceases to admire her work.
