Plot description
Army pilot Sergei Yakushev, the protagonist of the SOBR series, does not receive a leave of absence for a long time, in connection with which he goes on a crime - he hijacks a government-owned helicopter and flies to the city. For this, Yakushev was kicked out of the armed forces, giving him an unflattering characterization. Sergei goes to Stavropol, where he plans to find a job - but all his attempts end in failure. But, finally, fate smiles at Yakushev - he meets his old friend in the city, who offers him a job as an officer of the SOBR (special rapid response unit), where the recruitment of former military personnel is taking place.
In the SOBR series, viewers observe not only the combat operations of the special squad, but also the uneasy relationships unfolding between its employees.
The parallel storyline of the series tells about the events that take place on the territory of Chechnya, where criminals are actively selling weapons. High-ranking officials of Ichkeria are directly involved in this criminal business, so a Moscow investigation team is sent to Chechnya, which will be guarded by SOBR fighters, in which Sergei Yakushev now works.
Number of episodes and filming process
To date, the SOBR series has 36 episodes, 16 of which were shown by NTV in the first season of 2010, and 20 in the second season, which was released in spring 2012. The official producer of the series has not yet announced a possible sequel. Casting for the main roles lasted for a year, until the creators of "SOBR" chose four actors most suitable for the format of the series.
Many employees of the real SOBR, after watching the series, claimed that the series was completely untrue.
The actors and film crew lived on the basis of a real SOBR stationed in Moscow. They worked from morning till night next to the real employees of the special squad, keeping in shape every day with the help of a set of sports exercises and martial arts. As a result, the actors who played the roles became friends and continued to communicate after the end of filming. According to the creators of "SOBR", many of the jokes and songs that sound in the series were invented by the actors themselves, which added a positive and spontaneous filming process. The series "SOBR" was broadcast on the screens of Russia and Ukraine, where it collected very good ratings.
