Life often forces people to move from place to place. Let's say you bought a new apartment, received a living space as an inheritance or as a gift. In any case, your new address must be properly documented on your paperwork. That is, you will need to register at a new place of residence.
Instructions
Step 1
Sign out from the old address. Please note that residence in a student hostel or military service, as a rule, is formalized in the form of temporary registration at the place of residence for a period of 3-5 years. Even if the term of such registration has expired long ago, you still must have a disposal sheet in your hands, and in your passport there should be a stamp confirming the end of this registration.
Step 2
Get written consent from the landlord (if there is one) for you to move in. Please note that if you intend to move into an apartment that has more than one owner, then you will need a written consent to move in from each of the owners. If one of the owners does not give consent or is temporarily absent, you will not be able to register at this address.
Step 3
Contact the registration authorities at the new place of residence (passport office) within 7 days from the date of termination of registration at the old address. Take with you: a disposal sheet, a document proving your identity (passport), an application for registration at a new place of residence of the established form, a statistical form, a receipt for payment of a state duty, as well as a document serving as the basis for your settlement (an order for obtaining a living space, sales contract, statement of the person who provided you with housing, etc.) If it is not possible to provide the original, provide a notarized copy of the document.
Step 4
Wait 3 days until the passport officers, to whom you handed over all the required documents, submit these documents for your registration at a new address to the registration authorities. And then no more than 3 days - until the registration authorities complete your registration and put a stamp in your passport indicating your new address. If you register using other documents, your new address will be indicated on the certificate of registration at the place of residence that will be issued to you.
