Lyudmila Gurchenko was born back in 1935 in the city of Kharkov. Before the war, her parents worked in the regional philharmonic society. His father worked as an accordion player, and his mother worked as a singer. They often performed together. It is not surprising that little Luda grew up as a very musical girl. She had the opportunity to attend concerts where her parents performed, and spent a lot of time behind the scenes. When the war broke out, Lyuda's father went to fight, and they stayed in Kharkov.
After the end of the war, Luda, albeit belatedly, was able to go to school. A year later, she began attending the Beethoven School of Music. Even then, little Luda performed in military units and in front of veterans. The surrounding people saw in Luda the future pop singer, however, having received a certificate of secondary education, she went to conquer Moscow. Gurchenko submitted documents to VGIK, and she was accepted.
After studying with the best teachers of the university, Lyudmila Gurchenko was ready to try herself in a big role. Her first works in cinema were the films "The Road of Truth" and "The Heart Beats Again". And the film "Carnival Night" became a real masterpiece of cinema, after filming in which Gurchenko suddenly became the most popular actress of Soviet television viewers. Her song "Five Minutes" is still a symbol of the New Year celebrations. The musical film "Girl with a Guitar" with Gurchenko was no less successful. The songs written for this film were released on a separate disc. By that time, Lyudmila Gurchenko had already acquired real superstar status.
At some point in the life of Lyudmila Gurchenko, a real persecution began. Journalists accused her of a "capitalist approach to art." However, the actress continued to act in films. And soon, thanks to her talent and perseverance, film after film began to appear, which became real pearls of Soviet cinema: "The Marriage of Balzaminov", "Station for Two", "Love and Doves" and others. Simultaneously with filming a movie, Lyudmila Gurchenko was constantly involved in the theater. In addition, there were concerts, recordings, release of records. She also worked very successfully as a writer, composer and director.
Lyudmila Gurchenko was awarded the honorary title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR and the USSR, the Orders for Services to the Fatherland, Nika, Golden Gramophone and others.

Personal life
Lyudmila Gurchenko was married six times. She has a daughter, Maria, and a granddaughter. The singer's grandson Mark died at the age of 16.
Gurchenko entered into her first marriage with Vasily Ordynsky when she was only 18 years old. The marriage was short and lasted just over a year.
In her second marriage with Boris Andronikashvili, the actress had a daughter, Masha. The marriage lasted two years.
