Actress Natasha Abigail Taylor took her mother's maiden name - McElhone as her pseudonym. Her credo sounds like this: each role should be played as if it is your last, as if the audience will judge and remember you by it. This is probably why Natasha has so many bright roles.
Natasha McElhone was born in London in 1969. Her parents were journalists, but she does not remember her father - he left the family when she was only two years old. Mom got married, Natasha had two more brothers, so in childhood there was someone to play with, especially in actors.
The fact is that since childhood, Natasha loved to portray a variety of characters, tried on different roles. And this occupation fascinated her very much. At a girls' school, she studied Irish dancing - she also really liked this occupation and helped in her career as an actress.
Everything went to the fact that Taylor entered the acting department of the London Academy. However, she not only entered there, but during her studies she played in the theater. These were productions of English and foreign classics, which was very responsible and interesting.
Also during her studies, Taylor managed to appear in television projects "Bergerac" (1991), "One more" (1992), "Generation of Heroes" (1994).
Career as an actress
Not far off was her finest hour - shooting in the film "Live Life with Picasso", where she starred in a duet with Anthony Hopkins.
Since then, Natasha has been lucky all the time to have stellar partners. Here are just some of their films, in which McElhone starred with real masters: in the thriller "The Devil's Own" with Harrison Ford and Brad Pitt; in the drama "Mrs. Dalloway" with Vanessa Redgrave; in the comedy "The Truman Show" with Jim Carrey; in the detective story Kill Me Softly with Heather Graham; in the drama "Mr. Church" with Eddie Murphy; in the series "The Firsts" with Sean Penn. And this list is not yet complete.
At the same time, Natasha never considered herself a star and a real celebrity, she always said that she was just doing her job. Although the actress also did not give interviews often, she was not a public person due to innate modesty.
Personal life
In 1998, a happy event happened in the life of Natasha McElhone: she became the wife of Martin Kelly. Her husband had nothing to do with cinema - he was a plastic surgeon.
In 2000, they had a son, Theodore, and in 2003, a son, Otis. Natasha really missed working on maternity leave, and at the same time did not want to leave the children on her husband.
However, she had to go to work, and in 2007 Natasha began acting in the TV series Californication. And again she had a "star" partner - David Duchovny. The actress had to leave for Los Angeles to shoot, and she really missed her family.
And in May 2008 Natasha received terrible news - she was informed that her husband Martin had died. She flew in from filming, and soon found out that she was pregnant. In the same year, her son Rex was born.
Her beloved work and sons helped Natasha to cope with this misfortune. She starred in TV shows, played in the theater. She also wrote letters to her husband, where she talked about her life.
These letters were published in the form of a book called "After You".
