Mick Jagger is a famous British rock music representative. Songwriter, composer, founder and longtime leader of the cult rock band The Rolling Stones.
Biography
The real name of the cult rocker is Michael Philip Jagger, he was born in July 1943 in the small English town of Dartford. The boy was brought up in an intelligent family: his father was a teacher, and his mother was engaged in social activities in the Conservative Party of England. The parents really wanted their son to take up economic activity in the future, so they provided him with education in one of the best schools.
Mick's studies were very bad, he was not interested in sciences and languages. The only subject that Jagger adored at school was music. He literally approached assignments with fanaticism and especially to singing. The only thing Jagger was striving for was the desire to become the best singer in school. He practiced his vocal craft so zealously that he once bit off the tip of his tongue. Such a ridiculous trauma did not cool the ardor of the young vocalist, he only began to practice even harder.
After graduating from school in 1963, Jagger, after consulting with his parents, entered the university for an economic direction, but soon dropped out and focused entirely on creativity.
Career
The musical group Mick Jagger created while still at school, then the team was called Little Boy Blue. The guys played in small playgrounds for their peers. But when the bassist and drummer joined the group, it became the starting point for the iconic rock band, in the new line-up the group became known as The Rolling Stones.
In 1963, Mick Jagger dropped out to concentrate on music, and a year later the "rollings" were put on a par with the legendary Liverpool four "The beatles". At that time, the group had only two recorded albums. In 67, Jagger, along with the Beatles, went on a trip to India.
By the mid-80s, the group was already world famous, they were loved by rock fans, and novice musicians looked up to them and tried to copy their style of performance. Mick Jagger's band is considered a pioneer of the hard rock genre, and to date, the rolling Stones have over thirty recorded albums and hundreds of concerts. The band's ten records are on the list of the greatest albums of all time.
In 1994, thanks to the Voodoo Lounge disc, Jagger and his band won the prestigious Grammy Music Awards.
