Not so long ago, an ambitious project called "The Avengers" appeared on the big screens, in which such well-known comic book superheroes and supervillains as Captain America, Hulk, Natasha Romanoff and Hawkeye appeared. Modernity brought the god Thor and his evil brother Loki to the film, the confrontation of which became the basis for the "Avengers".
Universe of the Avengers
Comic book fans can thank Kevin Feyhey, who directed the mega-successful Iron Man franchise in 2008, for the appearance of the movie "The Avengers", which brings together all the popular characters of the Marvel Universe. Feyhee decided to include in the "Avengers" the organization "SHIELD", the green monster Hulk, the gorgeous Natasha Romanoff nicknamed "Black Widow", the sharpshooter Hawkeye, the ideal Captain America and the charming misanthrope Tony Stark, who combines the life of a playboy millionaire with the heroic activities of Iron Man …
The idea of combining all these characters in one film came about after the audience approved the appearance in each film of the franchise of one of the above superheroes.
The success of the "Avengers" Kevin Feyhey explains that each of the heroes has not only superpowers, but also weaknesses or problems that turn them into living, "voluminous" people. In addition to saving the world, they often have to save themselves, and not only from supervillains.
Filming
To shoot the massive battles in The Avengers, the stunt teams and the actors themselves learned a variety of combat techniques, including some of the most famous martial arts. Especially for Scarlett Johansson, a whole choreography of fighting movements was developed, which allowed her character to move acrobatically smoothly and flexibly. They also learned their fighting skills and Chris Hemsworth with Tom Hiddleston, who played the roles of Thor and Loki in the film.
To create the Hulk, motion capture technology was used, which allowed Mark Ruffalo to play both states of his character for the first time.
Filming took place in Albuquerque and Ohio, where the huge, modern Clinton County Airpark became the main shooting location. The cameramen were able to perfectly capture his structures and premises, combining them with the material previously filmed in Albuquerque. The Avengers' most impressive action scene was filmed in downtown Cleveland, where one of the main traffic intersections was closed for 4 weeks to film a series of explosions when dark forces attacked New York.
The final days of filming took place in New York's Central Park. To create the final scene of the film, all the actors came together and were very surprised when thousands of enthusiastic people gathered to watch the revived Marvel universe. To their applause, the filming process of one of the most iconic films of our time ended.
