Doctor of Economics, experienced administrator Alexander Evgenievich Surinov has successfully headed this structure for nine years.
The future scientist and teacher was born on September 15, 1958 in a family of researchers. My father lectured on economics at Moscow State University. Mother worked as a senior lecturer at the Institute of Steel and Alloys. As a child, Alexander had free access to the family library. He learned to read early and came to school as a prepared student. He maintained friendly relations with classmates. Moderately engaged in physical education. After graduating from school, on the advice of his parents, he decided to get a specialized education at the Moscow Institute of Economics and Statistics.
In public service
In 1981, Surinov received a diploma and a referral to the Central Statistical Office under the USSR Council of Ministers. His working career began as an ordinary economist. By chance, Alexander ended up in the Department of Social Statistics. He had the opportunity to compare the quality of social security in the Soviet Union and in foreign countries. Analysis of the incoming information allowed Surinov to make several important proposals on the methodology for calculating integral data. In 1989 he defended his Ph. D. thesis.
At the end of the 90s, Alexander Evgenievich worked at the Center for Economic Conditions under the Government of the Russian Federation. The sphere of his responsibility was the processes of formation, distribution and use of the population's income. An experienced economist and scientist knew perfectly well how people live on one salary. However, many also had additional sources of receiving money, which are very difficult to take into account. In December 2009, Surinov was appointed head of the Federal State Statistics Service - Rosstat.
Recognition and privacy
Successful top manager Alexander Surinov is engaged in scientific and teaching activities. He is the author of dozens of monographs and textbooks. Member of the editorial board of the journal "Questions of Statistics". Over a long career, the Ph. D. has written over a hundred scientific articles.
In Surinov's personal life, there is a strict order. He is legally married. The husband and wife raised a son and two daughters. In December 2018, Alexander Evgenievich left the civil service of his own free will.
