Ilya Davydov is a famous Russian athlete, hockey player, and defender. The pupil of the Yaroslavl “Lokomotiv” is currently playing in the championship of Slovakia.
Biography
Ilya Davydov is a hockey player who was born on January 25, 1989 in Yaroslavl. Since childhood, Davydov loved to play sports, and at the age of 7 the boy entered the hockey section. Davydov started playing as a striker, but the coaches decided to move the boy to the position of a defender.
In 2007, Ilya signed his first contract, a contract with the South Ural hockey club, at that time South Ural played in the VHL. It was hard for the hockey player to get used to the new team. The young hockey player played 18 matches, but was unable to hit the opponent's goal.
Career in Izhevsk
In the 2010/11 season, the young player received a very interesting offer to move to HC "Izhstal", which at that time was at the bottom of the table. Ilya very often went to the site, but there was no particular result from him.
In the 2010/11 season, Ilya participated in 52 meetings, in which he was able to score one goal and give five assists. Out of 56 meetings Izhstal won only 22, a very bad result, the team took the last place in the tournament.
Performance in the KHL
In 2011, Davydov received a very good offer to join the Avtomobilist hockey club, which played in the Continental Hockey League. The 2011/2012 season for Avtomobilist was a failure, the team was losing match after match.
Ilya appeared on the site about 19 times, but failed to score. The coaches were unhappy with the young hockey player and decided to terminate the contract with him.
In 2012, Ilya moved to the Sputnik hockey club, which played in the VHL. In the first match for Sputnik, Ilya was injured and was in the hospital until the end of the season. In 2013, the Torpedo hockey club, which played in the KHL, became interested in the player, the hockey player had an excellent opportunity to gain a foothold in the main team.
For "Torpedo" Ilya played ten matches, but could not meet the expectations of the coaches, the player was able to give only one assist. The coaches lost confidence in the player and decided to break the contract with him.
In 2014, Ilya signed a contract with the Admiral hockey club, which played well in the KHL. For "Admiral" Davydov played 9 matches and scored one effective puck.
At the end of the season, Admiral took 9th place. The following year, Ilya played at the Traktor hockey club. Chelyabinsk citizens were able to make it to the playoffs, but in the decisive match they lost to the hockey club "Siberia".
In 2016, Ilya played for Vityaz, and in 2017 he moved to Novokuznetsk Metallurg.
