Sergei Koshonin began his career as a theater actor. Then he left the creative profession for a while. At the end of the last century, Koshonin began to actively appear in television series, where he received popular recognition. In 2006, Sergei Koshonin became an Honored Artist of Russia.
From the biography of Sergei Koshonin
The future theater and film actor was born in Leningrad on April 11, 1958. At school, Sergei was actively involved in sports and was preparing to become a military man. After receiving secondary education, he applied to the Leningrad Higher Military-Political Air Defense School, but did not pass the competition.
Without thinking for a long time, in 1975 Koshonin entered the theater school (now it is the St. Petersburg State Academy of Theater Arts). After graduating from high school, Sergei served for many years at the Youth Theater on the Fontanka. Among his best theatrical works are roles in the productions of Threepenny Opera, Dear Elena Sergeevna, Bourgeois in the Nobility, One Hundred Bestuzhev Brothers, and Tango.
After the collapse of the USSR, Koshonin decided to end his theatrical career. The reason is trivial - lack of money. In search of a better life, Sergei tried many professions. He transported money, worked as a courier. Then I decided to try myself in producing on TV.
One of his first television projects was the gypsy group Cabriolet. This work did not bring Koshonin money, but he gained invaluable experience. And for all eternity he vowed to work with the gypsies: they all came to the recording of the album, together with their babies.
Film career
In the movie, Koshonin first appeared in his school years. In the 8th grade, he was invited to play the role of Igor in the film "The Diary of a School Director." The future actor was lucky to work with Oleg Borisov and Lyudmila Gurchenko.
In 1984, Sergei played the first major role, starring in the film "Once upon a time there was a doctor …". Then there were the films "Makar the Pathfinder", "Flight of the Bird", "Astrologer". On the set, Koshonin met actress Elena Yakovleva. She invited him to try his hand at the film "Intergirl". In this picture, Koshonin got the role of a taxi driver.
For most of the 90s, Sergei did not act in films - the search for a decent job took time. The audience again saw the actor in the TV series "Streets of Broken Lights-2". After this work, Koshonin was often invited to work in television series. The most notable works of Sergei were roles in the projects "Destructive Power", "Law of the Hare", "Execution Cannot Be Pardoned", "Operational Development", "Rage", "Cargo", "Liteiny, 4". Koshonin had a chance to play the role of the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych - the outward resemblance helped.
Personal life of the actor
Sergey Koshonin is married. His wife's name is Lolita. They met during the filming. At that time, Lolita worked as a decorator, now she runs a household. In 1989, the Koshonins had a son, who was named Ivan. Having matured, the younger Koshonin was engaged in dubbing American cartoons. But he did not want to become an actor. As a result, Ivan learned to be a cameraman.
