Biography and the beginning of a career in cinema
Taylor Michelle Momsen was born in Missouri in 1993. Her distant ancestors through her mother lived in the Russian Empire. She has a younger sister born in 1996, who also played minor roles in several films. The girls were brought up in Catholic traditions and received their primary education in a school attached to the church.
Momsen began working at the age of two. Of course, at this age, children still cannot make a conscious choice, and there is no desire to work, but the parents made their decision and sent their daughter to a modeling agency. As the girl later said, she had no childhood at all, because her time was spent on study and photography, and it was not enough for friends and games. In 1994, when she was only four years old, the young actress starred in her first commercial.
At the age of seven, she gets her first role in the full-length motion picture The Prophet of Death. Her performance was immediately noticed and appreciated by many directors, so in the following years there were clearly no problems with work. She got the lead role in the movie The Grinch Stole Christmas. Two years later, she got three successful projects at once: the president's daughter in the second part of Spy Children, Gretel in the film adaptation of Hansel and Gretel, and a minor role in the drama We Were Soldiers.
The next few years were not very productive. Momsen auditioned for Hannah Montana, but was passed by Miley Cyrus. The four films in which she took part in 2006-2007 were also not very noticeable and successful. But at the age of fifteen, she still got one of the key roles in the TV series "Gossip Girl", which brought her worldwide fame. After the series, she played in another film, but still decided to leave the film career. In 2011, she publicly announced that she was dedicated to music.
As for her personal life, Taylor Momsen has not been seen in a relationship. And she herself claims that she does not have a young man.
Musical career
Taylor loved rock and roll music from a very early age, as her father often played it at home. She has repeatedly stated that she adores music, because it is possible to express herself in it.
