Multi-tariff electricity meters are being installed in many new homes today. And in old houses, they can be introduced during the implementation of major repairs. The most common of them are electronic counters of the Mercury-200 brand.

Instructions

Step 1

Wear dielectric shoes before taking readings from the meter. Take a flashlight with you to the entrance or hallway, even if the room is well lit. In no case do not read the readings by the light of a match, candle, lighter. To press the buttons on the counter, you need to open the flap. Do not touch any live parts in it, even if they seem insulated to you. Do not touch anything at all except the buttons.

Step 2

Aim the flashlight at the meter indicator if the readings on it are difficult to see.

Step 3

Check whether the meter is configured for operation: manual or automatic. Switching between these modes manually is impossible, it can only be carried out by the dispatcher's employees via a special communication line (if any). If the flap is locked, and on the counter indicator the segments “T1”, “T2”, “T3” and “Sum” are switched on alternately, then the automatic mode is on. When any of the segments with the letter "T" and a digit is turned on, the readings on the indicator correspond to the tariff with the number corresponding to this digit. When the “Sum” segment is enabled, the readings correspond to the sum for all three tariffs.

Step 4

If the meter is set to operate in manual mode, the segment with the letter “T” and the tariff number, which is valid at the current time of day, is constantly on on its indicator. To switch the segments "T1", "T2", "T3" and "Sum", press the upper key - they will switch along the ring, and the corresponding information will be displayed on the indicator. It remains only to record the indications corresponding to these tariffs.

Step 5

If there are three tariffs, calculate the cost of energy consumed per month using the following formula: с = (t1 * e1) + (t2 * e2) + (t3 / e3), where c is the total cost of energy consumed per month (rubles.), en is the amount of energy consumed per month at the rate n (kW * h), tn is the cost of one kilowatt-hour of electricity at the rate n (rubles).
