Starting conditions
Even in the current chronological period, it is difficult for a person who grew up in the provinces to imagine and believe that a girl from the Ural hinterland was able to achieve success in the international arena. Where the modeling business has been put on a solid legislative and organizational basis for many decades. The future icon of the fashion industry was born on January 6, 1986 in an ordinary Soviet family. Parents lived in a small mining town near Chelyabinsk. My father worked as a drifter in a coal mine. Mother taught at a local music school.
The birth certificate contains the full name of the model - Irina Valerievna Shaikhlislamova. It was only later, when her professional career began, she took on the pseudonym Shayk. The girl did not stand out among her peers in any way. She was accustomed to work and accuracy. Irina helped her mother with the housework - she cleaned the house, weeded the beds in the garden, washed the clothes. As a teenager, she suddenly grew up and was a cut above all her friends. She even began to tease "thinness", "watchtower", "plywood".
Professional career
After graduating from school, Irina went to Chelyabinsk and entered the economic college. After a short period of time, the producer of the local image club "Svetlana" drew attention to the tall and "thin" girl. Unexpectedly for herself, she found out that she ideally matches the parameters of the "underwear model". It sounded unusual, but much nicer and more promising than "plywood" or "tower". This was confirmed by the victory in the regional beauty contest, which was called "Supermodel". A year later, Irina went to a federal competition in Moscow and was noticed there. Noticed and offered a job outside of Russia.
She did not refuse an offer to work in Paris, although she could not imagine what difficulties and obstacles she would have to face. But after a year and a half, her photographs began to appear on the covers of such popular glossy magazines as Glamor, Maxim, Allure, Vogue Espana. By tradition, the textured model began to be invited to shoot a movie. The roles she was offered were not the main ones, but characteristic ones.
Recognition and privacy
At the next stage of her modeling career, a photo of Irina Shayk appeared on the cover of the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. The magazine specializes in the publication of pictures of girls in swimsuits. Irina was the first of the Russian models.
The personal life of the model develops in a peculiar way. For almost five years, she was in a relationship with Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. But the final chord, the wedding, did not follow. In the spring of 2015, Irina met the American actor Bradley Cooper. Two years later, they had a daughter, and after a couple of years they decided to leave. Today the heart of a Russian beauty is free. She lives in two houses - in America and in Russia.
