OM is perhaps the most important mantra. According to Vedic philosophy, life in the universe began with this sacred sound. World space vibrates with Vuk Om. To feel the harmony of the universe, to escape from everyday problems, repeat OM.
Instructions
Step 1
Mantra OM (in AUM transcription) is the beginning of the universe. You need to start the morning or a good new deed with the pronunciation of this mantra. Om is repeated at the beginning of meditation or yoga practice in order to tune in to the vibration of harmony and light, to remove extraneous thoughts into the background. OM cleans the mind and soul, harmonizes the entire body and the movement of energy in it.
Step 2
Tune in to relaxation and meditation. Provide peace and quiet in the room. Sit with your back straight in the lotus position or any position you feel comfortable with. Place your hands on your knees, palms up. The Dhyana mudra, the mudra of knowledge (a special position of the fingers, in which the thumbs and forefingers are connected, and the middle, ring and little fingers are folded together and straightened) will help to harmonize interaction with the Universe. Close your eyes and breathe slowly and deeply.
Step 3
You can start doing yoga while standing. Stand up straight, straighten your shoulders, remove the arch in the lower back. Feel how the weight is evenly distributed over the foot. Fold your arms in front of your chest, pointing your thumbs towards your heart. This position is called Namaste. Close your eyes and breathe deeply and relaxed.
Step 4
Inhale deeply and chant OM as you exhale. The volume of the sound does not matter. Try not to sing with your throat, let the sound freely come out of your belly, making your whole body vibrate. Stretch your breath, but do not overexert yourself. Recite the mantra calmly and freely. While singing OM, try to maintain the proportions of the sound: let the sound [M] last three times longer than [O].
Step 5
Repeat chanting the mantra at the end of the session, feeling harmony and gratitude to the whole world.
Step 6
There are no specific rules for chanting a mantra. OM can be repeated always and everywhere to oneself. Whatever you do, feel your connection with the Universe, with God. You can use other mantras if you know their meaning. Japa is a special type of meditation that involves repeating sacred sounds. In transport, on a walk, in a store, repeat mantras to yourself, concentrate on the inner Universe, free your mind from everyday problems, obsessive thoughts and chaos. Let harmony and love live in your life.
