Arriving in Moscow, every foreign citizen or citizen of the Russian Federation living in another city must complete registration - this is required by the legislation of the Russian Federation.
Instructions
Step 1
The visitor is registered at the place of stay, therefore, if you live in a hotel or boarding house, then you do not need to do anything. The administration itself will inform you where you need to about the address of your residence.
Step 2
To register in a rented apartment, collect the following documents: - an application for registration at the place of stay (form 1, take the form at the passport office); - an identity document (passport / birth certificate for children under 14 years old); - an application from the owner of the home (if necessary, a contract of lease or gratuitous use, certified by a notary); - if the apartment is not a municipal one - a certificate of ownership of the property and its photocopy; - a copy of the financial and personal account of the owner of the apartment; - a photocopy of passports - of yours and the landlord; - a photo.
Step 3
If the owner of the apartment is wary of registering you on his living space, explain to him that this does not threaten him. Registration does not give you any rights to housing and at the end of the term of granting it is automatically canceled without requiring any action from the landlord.
Step 4
Take the collected documents to the EIRTS (Unified Information Settlement Center). Immediately get, if necessary, a certificate stating that the owner has no debts for utility bills and the availability of available square meters - according to sanitary standards, every registered person should have at least 6 m².
Step 5
Take the completed documents to the FMS, in three days the temporary registration should be ready, but this is in theory. In practice, the process can be delayed, since queues are possible both at the FMS and at the EIRTs.
Step 6
If you are not a resident of the Russian Federation, then for registration you will need: a copy of your passport (a spread with a photo and a spread with a visa), a copy of a migration card, a notarized translation of your passport and all the same documents as for citizens of the Russian Federation.
