Don't know how to contact the traffic police inspector who stopped you? Can't understand what rank are the employees of the military registration and enlistment office? If you do not want to offend a person in civilian clothes, then you should remember what is depicted on the shoulder straps and what rank each particular image belongs to.
Instructions
Step 1
Distinguish between empty shoulder straps. The army says: "Clean shoulder straps - a clear conscience." A clear conscience is usually among the rank and file. If you see shoulder straps without any images, you should know that there is a private in front of you.
Step 2
Look at the stripes. Some military personnel have stripes, usually sergeants. Corporals have one stripe, junior sergeants have two stripes, sergeants three. The senior sergeants have one, but wide stripe, the foremen have a wide longitudinal stripe.
Step 3
Look at the stars. The ensigns no longer have any stripes, but there are stars. 2 stars located along the length of the shoulder strap, and the absence of any stripes means that there is a warrant officer in front of you. If the stars are not two, but three, then in front of you is a senior warrant officer.
Step 4
Look at the stars and stripes. For officers, stripes are added to the stars. The junior lieutenant has one stripe and one small star on his shoulder straps. But the star is smaller than that of the ensigns. The lieutenant has two stars along the edges of the strip; the senior lieutenant has three stars. There are two of them, like a lieutenant, and one is higher. On the captain's shoulder straps, there is one more star, which is located even higher. Major's shoulder straps have one large star and two stripes on the sides of the star. Further, everything is by analogy with the lieutenants: two stars across and two stripes are on the shoulder straps for the lieutenant colonel, the third star from above is for the colonel.
Step 5
Distinguish patterns on shoulder straps. Ornaments are on the shoulder straps of generals. If there is one large star on top of the pattern, then this is a major general, if there are two stars along the shoulder strap (for generals they are only along), then in front of you is a lieutenant general. Three large stars on the pattern indicate that their owner is a colonel general. Only the General of the Army has four stars. The Marshal wears a very large star and a two-headed eagle on his shoulder straps.
