The procedure for dialing an international number from a mobile phone is a little, but fundamentally different from a call to a subscriber within the country. You can dial a number registered in the same country as yours, both in domestic and international format, and at the same time get through. But for a successful call to a foreign subscriber, a strictly international format is required.

Instructions
Step 1
Unlock your phone keypad if using the lock function. The procedure depends on the specific phone model you are using, a hint usually appears on the display after pressing any key.
Step 2
Press the "+" ("plus") key. Wait for this symbol to appear on the display. If after a few seconds this does not happen, press it again.
Step 3
Use an alternative international format if desired. When in Russia, this combination of digits 810. Using the plus is more convenient because by default it will provide an international dialing format, no matter what country you are in and no matter what numbers you may not know, this option is provided in it.
Step 4
Dial the code of the country you want to call. For example, the code of Ukraine is 38, the UK code is 44, etc.
Step 5
Dial the area code or mobile operator of the called foreign subscriber. Most often this is a combination of three numbers, but it can be more - four, five, and in some rare cases even six.
Step 6
Dial the number of the called party. It usually consists of seven digits. General rule: the fewer digits in the area code or cellular operator, the more there are in the subscriber's number. In this case, the total number of digits in a combination including a code and a telephone number is ten in most cases.
Step 7
After dialing the last digit, press the call key and wait for the connection.
Step 8
Dial the local operator number if you are using an IP-telephony card to call (this saves on international and long-distance calls).
Step 9
Follow the voice prompts for a connection or the instructions on the map. Most often, you must enter the code indicated on the card, then you can contact the telephonist or dial the desired foreign number yourself from the keyboard of your phone. In the second case, the procedure is the same as described in steps 4 - 8: as a rule, you need to dial the country, city and subscriber number, in some cases you will also need numbers indicating the international nature of the call.
