Instructions

Step 1

Obtain a temporary residence permit (registration stamp on your passport). You can apply for a temporary residence permit while in our country on any possible visa, except for a tourist visa. If you decide to go through the entire procedure to the end, you will have to renounce the citizenship of your country, although there are no strictly defined penalties for a second citizenship.

Step 2

Grounds for obtaining Russian citizenship:

- the presence of close relatives, citizens of the Russian Federation;

- marriage with a citizen of the Russian Federation, lasting at least 3 years;

- investments in the Russian economy (at least $ 250,000);

- availability of a USSR passport with a residence permit on the territory of Russia;

- availability of certificates of service in the RA;

- availability of a diploma of graduation from a Russian university;

- refugee and forced migrant status.

Step 3

A year after receiving the TRP (and if you are married for the prescribed period, then literally the next day) you can apply for a residence permit (residence permit). Do not forget to present to the FMS registrar a police clearance certificate in Russia and in your country (valid only for 45 days) and a certificate of income sources. Please note: if you seriously decide to settle in Russia, you need to hurry up with the registration of a residence permit, since the TRP, although it is issued for a period of 3 years, is not renewed in the future.

Step 4

After obtaining a residence permit, you will be able to work only in the region where you received this document, without restrictions, but you do not have to apply for a work permit through your employer. In addition, you can use the services of free health insurance. Travel outside Russia is allowed for no more than 180 days a year. It is necessary to renew the residence permit every 5 years.

Step 5

After 5 years have passed after obtaining a residence permit, you can apply for Russian citizenship by submitting all documents to the FMS.
