On July 7, 2012, the whole world learned about the small provincial town of Krymsk, Krasnodar Territory. After all, this urban settlement was practically washed off the face of the earth by the large water that came from the mountains. As a result of the flood, more than a hundred people died, and thousands were recognized as victims. In addition to the official structures, people throughout the country also provide their all possible assistance to the population of Krymsk, who finds themselves in a difficult situation.

Assistance is being provided in different directions. The first is the collection of humanitarian aid. In almost all large cities of Russia, points are organized to collect the necessary things and essential supplies. They accept both clothes and medicines, as well as hygiene items and household chemicals. The volunteers regularly update the lists of what to bring and thank everyone for their help. So, for example, the affected area especially needs long-term products - canned food, cereals, pasta, etc. In addition, various medications are needed. Naturally, we are talking about those that can be called basic, i.e. those that are sold without a doctor's prescription: pain relievers, antipyretic, absorbent, etc. Plain bottled water is also in use.

Finding out the addresses of the points where things are accepted is quite simple. There are also advertisements on the Internet with full addresses and telephone numbers, and messages in local newspapers and on television. You can contact the official bodies, which will tell you where you can deliver your parcel - these are district administrations, councils, prefectures, social security departments, the Red Cross.

Another type of assistance that can be provided to victims is volunteering. The region is in dire need of working hands to help eliminate the consequences of the flood - to clean out silt from houses, fix those buildings that can still be repaired and garbage removed from the streets. After all, part of the population, and not small enough, is elderly people who are unlikely to cope with the restoration of their homes on their own.

Also, volunteers will be needed in order to help the same elderly people to receive compensation, to call damage assessors at a specific address, etc.

In addition, volunteers are also needed at the distribution points for humanitarian aid in the Krasnodar Territory itself. Their tasks include preparing hot food and distributing it to the population, arranging places for issuing parcels that are sent today from all over the country, and many other organizational duties.

If you cannot provide assistance in the first or second way, you can simply transfer money to the victims. Account numbers are regularly broadcast on federal and local channels, are listed in newspapers - both paper and online, and, of course, are mentioned on the Internet. According to the persons responsible for collecting money, literally in the first week after the disaster, more than 10 million rubles were collected.
