Russia is an amazing country in which many mechanisms and systems begin to operate in a perverse manner. The same thing happened with the bank consumer lending system. Most of the country is in debt, constantly under pressure from bailiffs, bank security officers or collectors. There are also fraudsters who illegally gain access to the database of debtors and force a person to give money in full.

Instructions

Step 1

To begin with, you should make sure whether the person who introduced himself as a collector has the right to work with you to recover the debt. To do this, you must invite him to present documents that confirm his authority (certificate, agreement with the bank on the transfer of authority). If the conversation takes place over the phone, you can invite him to send copies of such documents by mail.

Step 2

You also need to ask to show documents justifying the amount of the claim (debt, interest, fines). If you still have doubts, you can call the bank and ask the loan officer for information on your case (whether it was left in the bank or transferred to a collection agency).

Step 3

Even if a confirmation of the transfer of powers to collectors is received from the bank, it should be remembered that no collector has the right to demand cash. Calculations are made only by transferring funds to the bank account.

Step 4

If the amount required to be refunded is too high, you should insist on reducing it. And always in court. That is, to make it clear that there will be no payment without official papers.

Step 5

If the threatening calls have not stopped, they should be recorded, and the “collector” should be explained that the article for extortion has not yet been canceled. It is also worth preparing a complaint to law enforcement agencies in advance.

Step 6

If meetings take place in person, threats should be recorded on a dictaphone. If the collectors try to get into the apartment (open or knock the door), you must immediately call the police. Not a single employee of a bank or collection agency is entitled to enter an apartment or seize property without the owner's permission.

Step 7

Naturally, the main problem - the loan debt - still needs to be addressed. You should personally contact the bank and find a civilized way out of this situation.
