Getting the first officer rank is not that difficult. Sometimes it is enough to visit the military department of the university for a certain period of time. However, promotion is only possible if your officer rank matches the position you hold.

Instructions

Step 1

Please note: since January 1, 2008, the terms of service have increased by 1 year to obtain the next military rank.

Step 2

The form and content of submissions for obtaining regular military ranks are approved by the heads of the executive authorities of the region in which military service is provided.

Step 3

A nomination for the next rank must be made no later than 2 months before the end of the serviceman's service life in the previous rank. This document is drawn up on a standard form and signed by the direct commander of the serviceman. After that, the submission is sent through the personnel department to the commander (chief), who has the authority to decide this issue.

Step 4

If a serviceman is assigned the first military rank of an officer or warrant officer, then the following must be issued without fail: - service card (in 3 copies);

- number registration card;

- certified copies of documents certifying professional education.

Step 5

If a citizen has served or is serving in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the customs or tax service, and in the UIN authorities, the first or next rank can be awarded to him only following the results of re-certification by the special commission of the unit. The submission is also signed by the immediate commander of the soldier and transmitted through the personnel service to the higher authorities who have the appropriate authority.

Step 6

The military rank of junior lieutenant or lieutenant can also be awarded to persons who do not have special military education, who have been trained at the military departments of universities that have state certification (by the way, not only GOU, but also non-governmental educational institutions).

Step 7

The same title can be awarded to citizens who graduated from a secondary vocational or higher educational institution in some specialties related to military registration specialties (doctors, military engineers, railroad workers).
