Many participants in the Great Patriotic War and residents of the besieged Leningrad have the right to claim to improve their living conditions at the expense of the state. It remains only to figure out who can be registered and how to get an apartment for a veteran.

Instructions

Step 1

To begin with, we note that the right to receive housing are disabled war veterans, war veterans and their wives, as well as blockade soldiers. But not all, but only those who are recognized as needing better living conditions. That is, those who live in dilapidated or dilapidated houses or in apartments where the area per person is less than the sanitary standard.

Step 2

In order to get an apartment, a veteran needs to register. To do this, you need to contact the local administration (at the place of registration) and write a statement that you need housing, attaching a copy of your passport to it. Registration of documents for queuing up for veterans is carried out according to a simplified scheme, and in most regions of Russia no more documents are required from the veteran - all other certificates will be collected by the municipality employees on their own.

Step 3

The procedure for providing apartments to veterans may vary. This can be the allocation of a subsidy for the purchase of housing (its size is equal to the average cost per square meter in a given region, multiplied by 36 - this is the norm of the area provided for a participant in the war), or the purchase of an apartment at the expense of the municipality and its provision under a social tenancy agreement. If the veteran has not yet used the right of privatization, such an apartment can be registered as property.

Step 4

The subsidy allocated for the improvement of housing conditions can only be spent on the purchase of housing. In this case, the apartment must comply with all necessary sanitary and technical standards.

Step 5

It should also be noted that the right to celebrate a housewarming at state expense is granted to veterans and war veterans only once in a lifetime. Therefore, it is impossible to buy an apartment, register children and grandchildren in it (or give it to relatives and friends), after which it is impossible to register again as “in need of expansion”.
